Also, if I were COVER Corp, it would be a prudent decision to formally organize the talents under marketing, accounting, or some other such fancy sounding department, and give them all a management title I pulled straight from the financial sector. Give 'em small stock options too. Like, every time a new JP gen debuts, the previous gen gets promoted. For example, Gen 5 would be Analysts, Gen 4 Associates, Fantasy are VPs, Gamers are Senior VPs, Gen 2 are Managing Directors, Gen 1 Senior MDs, whatnot. And they all move up the ladder when JP6 emerges. Because it's probably easier to take out loans, buy/rent a home, get a credit card, and do general important adulting things when those services see you as a "VP of Marketing" or "MD of Public Relations" at a rising tech firm with several global branches, rather than as an IRL waifu.
Make everyone a manager? Sounds great. What could possibly go wrong with that idea?

Consumer credit as you imagine it basically doesn't exist in Japan. It's a firmly cash-based society and getting a business loan from a bank is hard enough, let alone a regular-ass mortgage (which is one reason why Japan's system of subsidized middle-class housing is so extensive). Credit cards do exist but very few people use them and even fewer businesses accept them (mostly businesses catering to foreign tourists).

Also, the overwhelming bulk of private Japanese citizens only invest via fixed-interest savings accounts or via company retirement plans (and they do so only because regulations require them to). And a lot of that investment is spent buying government bonds in a kind of understanding between corporate Japan and the Japanese government (corporations buy BoJ bonds to support Japanese fiscal and monetary policy and the government gives them a massive amount of power in return). Stock options and other things are not so appealing because this is simply not the way the Japanese operate. It is a deflationary economy that has essentially not seen any real growth since the early 1990s and habits about holding cash instead of investing are deeply ingrained. The best way to imagine it as an Ameriburger is if the 2008 crisis happened in 1990 and then continued as the status quo for 30 years. Almost three generations have come of age in a Japan where investing is not only pointless, but often objectively a Bad Idea™.

RE: Karaoke song choice.

If you ever see a Tuber doing unarchived karaoke and choosing Motown (My Girl, Heard it Through the Grapevine, etc.) and Classic Rock/Country (Friends in Low Places, Ain't No Grave, On the Road Again), Hi.

Huh, never heard that bonkers narrative before. Amusing.
I found her personal Twitter (in that "forbidden knowledge" discord no less) and she posted a picture with her son(?) and husband less than a week ago

In name only. They wouldn't make actual business decisions, i tried to explain that it was just to make their out-of-office lives easier

Wait what does Ayame do, all I've seen her talk about online is the video games and movies she consumes. And Mel, I have no clue about.
Ayame streams like once or twice a month, dude. Have heard it’s cuz she grinds Ranked in League of Legends, which is funny because she’s hardstuck in gold despite devoting 90% of her time to it. If you see her op.gg, she plays like 4-5 matches a day, every day.

The hell does she main

"Due to the contract"
What contract?
Most likely an NDA to not talk about anything involving Artia or anything related to the inner working of Cover. Considering how big Cover is now, any information about how they worked is a hot commodity in the Vtubers industry/community

Yeah, I'm still gonna need a link/source for that

Woah Ghost Trick is my favorite game, a holo streamed it? what is this "Ghost Trick shit"

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Ghost Trick was the catalyst that started the whole "Copyright Claim" debacle that Cover and Hololive went through. Mio was streaming it and Capcom, with the grace of all Japanese Corps, decided that since they weren't making any money off of it everyone can fuck right off. It's the big reason why Hololive is so freaking careful with streaming permissions now.

Watching Gura play Smash is... painful. Not only does she suicide off the ledges 50% of the time she also somehow manages to constantly attack in the wrong direction.

She's also the only married one we know of, and possibly the only one with kids, unless you believe the Miko rrats about her long break.

IMO being a wholesome family woman who's something of a normie just makes her better. Especially since she's not the stereotypical suburban apathetic mother who lives almost entirely on weed, white wine, and boiled chicken
This is new to me.

I saw that picture, too. If those photos are really her, she looks androgynous and very much not the typical Japanese mom image. More like the "female prince" trope from shoujo manga. The channel's down and somebody said the info there is being checked out. It might not be her husband and child but brother and nephew(?) or another family member. I don't remember if she said she had siblings.

So, confirmation is needed, really. First, that it is actually IRL Subaru (which... surprisingly, I don't doubt), and second, that it actually is IRL Subaru's Twitter account (I can't find the link anymore but I know I saw it), and finally, that it actually is her husband and son. That's a lot to confirm.

It would be nice if it turns out to be true but I have to be somewhat skeptical.

If the channel goes back up and has the material, I'll let you know.

There are bank card systems in Japan but credit is rare, like you said. Mostly cards are used for buying stuff online and they're basically identical to going to the bank and directly transferring money from your account to another's account to pay bills. The ATMs over there even have slots where you can put in your account book and it will automatically print your debits and credits and available balance right then and there.

The 'female prince' description fits her, as I've seen her before, so it very well may be her Twitter account. But as far as I know she's not married and has no kids. She's very young (don't try to tell me otherwise because that so-called age list people refer to on that one JP website is blatantly and grossly wrong about many of the members) so the probability of that is low.

Subaru has mentioned her brother many times before so that's most likely who the guy is. As for the kid, who knows. Let me know as well if you or someone else gets the link back.
