Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

You said:
Bought the PC version from Gog on release day, tried playing it for less than an hour before giving up after 5 crashes and bullshit hardcoded keys. Put in refund request, took over a week for them to respond and asking if I'd accept Gog store credit. Said no, give me my refund. 5 more days and they sent me an email saying to try the newest patch first. Said no, give me my refund. Later that day, 12 days after requesting it, they finally refunded it.

Seemed sketchy as fuck. Between that and the fact I had to download 100gb of that game + day one patch from them at 1-2MB/s because their bandwidth sucks I'm not purchasing anything from them ever again.

Same. After them pulling Devotion, fuck if I even want any funds in some GOG Wallet.

What I can't get over is how during their recent conference call with investors, the CD Projekt CEO said they are now in "an unanticipated situation."
Motherfucker, you knew the various versions of this game were fucked and deliberately lied about it. For years.
You thought nobody would have a problem with this?

Holy hell heads need to roll. It's clear they just lucked out with the Witcher series.

Was this guy in a fucking coma for 8 years?? He also said the game plays well on ps4 & xbox one. Something shady is going on. He is lying trough his fucking teeth. He knew it plays like shit and he also knew what was going to happen. He is just pretending that CDPR had no idea that their customers would be pissed.

Not so much lucked out, more that most of the people who made those games left/were forced out and replaced by west coast americans and danger hair women.

Another example is this character voiced by a popular youtuber and as you can see the guy can't act to save his life, not to mention the lip sync is atrocious.

There are not that many professional voice actors period. When I looked at the credits, there were many voice actors primarily known for anime (Cherami Leigh, Erica Lindbeck, Robbie Daymond, etc.) but many extra voice actors in the English version were names that aren't even into that profession. A few were girl cosplayers.

He's lying because he thinks they can patch this crap and then later explain how great the game is and it was just review bombed. He's hoping to fool the investors until they have a working product they can point to.

Personally I think it's beyond optimistic to think they can unfuck this goat in the next two months.

I have no idea how anyone can have reservations for this game. Not only is its ending a testament that Poland can space, but it also shows you don't need to polish a game to put it out on the marketplace of ideas. The endless screeching of cyberaid's NEETS and reddit soy-joys feels like having a woman suck your mean dick so hard you burst a third testicle. My privilege got checked so thoroughly when my rich-boy hardware was glitch-cucked that I renounced every facet of hedonism and became a born-again Christian. The dialogue was so heinous that I had to lick every tongue until Mandarin became my lingua franca. Yes, the game is wholesome. A manual of happiness. An elixir to suicide watch. If any of you heathens hate it, it's just because you do not appreciate life.

So I have finished the game after 70 + hours on PC.
I played corpo and I played it both on my laptop and on my main PC ( I noticed a few more bugs and glitches on my main rig that is more powerful).
I got to admit, that despite the many issues that I had with this game, I loved it. The item system in it, is pretty trash and there lack of option not to look like a fucking mongo, but the games world and story was on point. I reloaded some of my saves as I didn't want to make charchter in the game sad or angry. I discovered that I cared about them. That I wanted to make the best chocies in the game.
The gameplay was not as indeepth as I wanted it to be, but I loved that I could be a goodamn spring and jumping over people, shooting them in the face with my bfg of a pistol. If you are not mobil, you are playing the game wrong IMO.
What I don't like is the lack of options in nightcity. I never saw a point in going to the bars, nightclub etc because there was nothing to do. You couldn't really go an bender, waking up in some girl /dude apartment and have to run away from the pissed off husband/wife.
The other main issues that I have is the bug and glithes. It ruin the immersion of the whole game. I can listen to a character talking about shit that they are going through, but I get taken out of it when a car just fly into the air.
Would I recomend the game? I would, but not at 60 dollars. I would wait for a sale and that they fix the bugs and glitches.
A lot of broken promies they made, and they have to work hard to earn them again.

yeah, I am on endorphin high right now, and I think that in a few days, I will be able to proper put through my thoughts on the game.

Cops don't seem to be hackable.
Really sucks trying to use a netrunner build when trying to fight on missions that require you to take them out.

Same story with Star Wars. The new movies are shit and they've been shit for a long time, but they will keep raking in billions of dollars for all of eternity no matter how many people lose interest. They call it "too big to fail" for a reason.

It reinforces that marketing is far more important than substance to other studios too. Which shows also the sorry state of affairs with today's consoomer culture.
