Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Nasser likes the horror stuff, he should give it a treatment!

That's assuming Nasser's heard of Misery. "Stephen who?"

One wonders what effect this will have on Comicsgate and Ya Boi Zack going forward.

I think it'll widen the cracks in Richards reputation within CG. On one hand a fickle crowd might not care about the lawsuit anymore - shit, I even forgot it was a thing - but on the other, I can see a lot of neckbearded jowls quivering with rage that the thousands of dollars pumped into YaBois gofundme was for nothing. As if the thousands of dollars spent on CG crowdfunding and superchats was so well invested. Not to mention the impression that Richards alpha balls sucked themselves back up into his body cavity, that even a number of Kiwis received, self included. Not that I blame him too strongly or scream "cuck!" at him, but - yeah.

Waid is not held accountable, no apology, no restitution we know of and the next asshole who decides to cancel a creator who liked Trump or thought there are only 2 genders won't think twice because Waid 'got away with it'.

It depends on if they have fuck-you money like Waid. Of course Waid had his own gofundme to match against Richards, like especially autistic pokemon, but a personal fortune must still feel like a reassuring safety net in that scenario. How's the CBLDF looking these days?

I am no longer Comicsgate and unsubscribed to Rich. These guys have gotten too hard to defend.

Its definitely feels like yet another win for SJWs/Cancel Culture. Zach can't even talk about what happened with him and Waid anymore? Sad. There's no way to spin this as a win.
Trigger the Grifts. Own the grifts.

The libs won the vic case, they won the depp case, stole the presidency and now this. We are like 100-0 right now, the only win we got is the convington kid and that was just a post dismissed settlement. Yeah cancel culture and hitlist are going to be encouraged for the next 4 years.

Judging from Frog's chat right now, the average CG'ers reaction to Meyer dropping the lawsuit is overwhelmingly negative. People were already starting to notice him distancing himself from the community. I'm thinking this might be the end of Meyer's time in ComicsGate.

Which way will the weathervane of Frog's loyalties turn if this ill wind continues to blow? Will he side with his friend over his customers?

Puwahahaha. What was I thinking? Ethan doesn't have friends. Just cash cows and meat shields.

I just find it weird that you didn't bail because of the internal slapfights, gayops, or subpar books, but because Ya Boi couldn't out money a guy in lawsuit that was getting purposely drug out for 2 years and some change

This is still going on I thought it was long dead I hope it will be I walked away from Comics completely I just enjoy older P.C. games. I think in New Vegas I have just an unbearable hatred for the Legion I think Warcampaign did that to me with EVS I genocide them every play through. I have been playing Oblivion it's better than Skyrim so far it has been so long since I played it. I am happier too that I just don't care about comic books anymore. The last comics I read are the classic First Comics Elric of Melbourne' adaptations which I highly recommend, and you can read for free online they are great too. I also think that genre fiction is superior to any super hero in my opinion. The only show with super heroes I enjoyed is The Boys it's about normal people killing super heroes.

Very disappointed in Zack. I've said it before, Zack is his own worst enemy. When he's handed a good opportunity he always seems to choke.

Oh well. At least we've got Nasser.

Thanks for buying Eternity.

That was my second attempt at writing a novel. I had gotten halfway through before I rage quit it (just like the first attempt). Then I wrote 2 other novels I'll never publish (Monstrosity, and The Bewitching; both are hideous). It was actually also my first idea for a story every. In 2014 I sat down and said, "And this is your first idea" and part of this book came to me. Originally I was going to make it a comic, but it didn't work that way (too many talking scenes, etc. that wouldn't have fit the flow of a comic).

The gayops and slapfights were entertaining to me. As for subpar books, I only bought from certain creators whose art I liked. Even then, I found that was buying less and less CG books because the writing was usually horrible.

Zack was my first introduction into CG culture, and him cucking out to Mark Waid was the last straw after I got over the denial phase of what he did.

That and each of his campaigns getting worse and worse was what cemented the decision for me.

No, I have few friends, but Zack is one of them.

I'm sorry that Zack didn't see it through. But what he did do was establish that fucking with people's livelihoods would be costly. This held up both of their lives for two years.

In the meantime, without interference, and with SJWs cowed, we were able to grow our platform while theirs shrunk.

It's up to you to decide if this was worth it or not. Everyone can make their own decision.

I'm guessing he privates it.

@FROG Just in case you didn't see my tweet, WC aka #WASCAMPAIGN are going to be making memes for their D-live show about the YbZ vs Waid resolution comparing him to the 38K thief Cridious. They just can't move on

I'm actually a little shocked at how good this is. You've got rhythm and let your verbs do the work. You're not repetitive at all, which is a problem with a lot of younger writers.

Start throwing in some more poetic devices, more metaphors etc. Read some Raymond Chandler and try to ape that style a bit because I can actually see your writing evolving into prose like his. Practice, practice like everything else, I guess.

Nice work, but no spoilers. I'm not done yet. :)

What did Waid lose? From where I sit he's now stronger than ever because of this. This outcome will only embolden those types of people, not discourage them. Waid just provided the roadmap for getting away with this shit.

"Without interference?" So, the Vampirella cover withdrawal was a case of spontaneous remission? 🙄

And while the CG platform did grow for a while it seems to be stagnating these days, though I guess that depends how you slice things. As in, is Billy Tucci CG or not, that sort of thing. Certainly crowdfunding seems to be the wave of the future, though how much credit CG as a whole can take is hard to say.

Thank you so much 😎. I actually think the next book Inner Demons is much better, because you can see a big level up in the writing style.

The best way I can explain it, was when I first started writing novels, I would write sort of "omnisciently" where you would see the thoughts of several different characters. My editor explained to me that that was kind of a noob thing to do, which is how I wrote Eternity (she fixed up some of those omniscient moments, but some are still in that book). By the time I wrote Inner Demons--and had written some books in between--I learned to write from 1 character's POV per scene instead of being omniscient, and I like that style a whole lot more.

CG deserves all the credit IMO by proving its viability. Zack and Frog were laughed at when they announced their first crowdfund campaigns. Nobody is laughing at them for that now.
