And honestly?

He's not that bad. At least his 'measured response' stuff, I've never really checked out any of the popular media he reviews like Bloodborne, RWBY, or any of the Fallout games, so I can't quite speak on those, but I think he does a good job at making Sargon, Aurini, PJW and other people he talks about look like complete tools, and is fairly humorous as he does so. Heck, I'm pretty sure Sargon even referenced hbomberguy's "Antifeminism vs facts" video as one that does a good job in addressing his 1 in 5 video, in his "due diligence" video a while back.

Maybe my politics have changed since I first posted here, I dunno lol

And from my brief listen, the dumbass calls the Legion fascist, despite the Legion, not even being a centralized state, let alone one with enough control to enforce a corporatist economy.

Well, he may have the definitive voice of a smug cunt and infamously organized a donation drive to a homophobic, transgender child obsessed group, but at least he has some good taste in video games.

This retard is supposed to be smart yet thinks:
- The boomers are a social commentary critique on real world boomers, particularly American boomers?

The same boomers who gave us hippies and were deathly afraid of guns? How are they the same as the NV boomers in anything but name?
The boomers are also a desired potential ally for almost every main faction in the game. If the game was meant to condemn the Boomers as he implied it did, they sure went about it the wrong way.
I get what he was going for, but he sucks at explaining his own viewpoints. Yes, the boomers are gun-happy xenophobes who can be seen as a parody of 60s Republicans, but that's where the similarities end and it's not as deep as he thinks it is. Again, the boomers are feared and respected.

- Praises NV's freedom and refusal to hold your hand in one second, then turns around and praises NV's design that a dozen NPCs will all hand-hold you via quests to the same dungeons as to ensure you don't miss out on Obsidian's hard work? Pick a side. You can't praise both the unabashed freedom and focused guiding at the same time. A better POV would be that NV executes what F3 tried to do in regards to level design and exploration much better than Bethesda did. Instead he just sucks Obsidian off with contradicting viewpoints and it's annoying.

- Can't decide whether he loves or hates awards shows. On the one hand he mocks them for being nothing but extended trailer shows that no one cares to watch and take seriously and is full of devs masturbating to themselves, then praises devs who masturbate to their political leanings and how gamers (lol, it's all slacktivists proclaiming they're journalists at those shows) applaud all of it, but because he agrees with their politics it's ok and should be highlighted.

- The Legion is fascist?? Good God, this guy is no better than a basic bitch religious fundamentalist who can't grasp anything outside of his personal beliefs. The legion are a parody/imitation of Rome, and Caesar is one of the most intellectual figures in the game, but all he took out of it is that because the Legion have slaves they're right wing authoritarian extremists. Unless he meant the Legion is fascist in the original sense of the word (which I seriously doubt he did), I feel he only said this to boost his credit score with his cronies. He never expanded on the metaphor of the fasces enough for me to believe he means anything except "legion bad". What's next; the Brotherhood of Steel are Nazis? It's amazing a guy who understands the multi-layered writing of NV is a moral shade of greys also thinks the Legion are cartoonishly evil.

- Has no idea what an Autocrat and a Libertarian are if he really thinks House is a Libertarian.
Never mind the fact that House himself states he despises democracies and explicitly states that Vegas shall have an efficient autocracy once he secures his desired outcome.
He would've had a better case if he stated the Followers of The Apocalypse were Libertarians, for better and worse.

He was one of the first youtubers I saw doing it, so I'll award points for that, and it was a nice blast of fresh air into the fart chamber that Sargon and his entourage had somehow made of my youtube recommendations. Nowadays, the leftie lot are about as insufferable as the people they displaced and so the cycle continues.

I watched hbomberguy's video on the War on Christmas. It was decent enough that I made it through to the end. I can't say the same for a video by Contrapoints, Shaun or that king of smug PhilosophyTube.
