I mostly agree with you. But after getting fucked with to the point of losing buisness, having your life and livelihood affected by certain people. I can see why Zack and CG would celebrate that the shitters are getting shat on for once. It's not ideal that they're out of a job but they did spend nearly half a decade talking about how superior they were and took glee in ruining the lives of others. For once it's nice to see some consequences for SJWs. And they have only themselves to blame. They were all handed a biblical resurection of the industry on a platter when Superhero films got popular. But decided to get self indulgent and pozzed.
Looking at those numbers, the majority of sales are listed as coming from trades and graphic novels; and if the best-sellers lists in this category I’ve found are accurate, then most of these sales come from people buying the preexisting comic trades related to upcoming movies or shows - Watchmen, Infinity Gauntlet, and Umbrella Academy sales directly correlated with their respective equivalent movie/show releases - along with a whole lot of old Batman trades, including the hard cover edition release of The Killing Joke. And I can’t help but notice that a lot of the trade sales can be credited to Image, most likely due to their accessibility because when an Image comic says Vol. 1, it really means Vol. 1. And even then, the biggest sellers like Saga Vol. 1 have been out for a while.
