Some of them still do sell 9mm though. My local got rid of their whole firearms section but another one some miles away didn't.

Has anyone messed with one of the Zasatava M85s? I know purists get upset about 5.56 AKs and I would prefer the full length rifle version but I don't see those getting imported anytime soon.

I've posted before that I have one with a folding brace. They're excellent little shooters. On the heavyish side but they're accurate for what they are. The stock iron sights suck ass though, I've replaced mine with the Khyber Customs set and I also have a Stormwerkz picatinny rail on my dust cover near the hinge like the Serbs do on their military models. It's quite strong and holds a zero perfectly.

Mine takes the 5.56 Serb AK mags though, not the AR mag adapter. I've heard hit or miss things about the mag adapters. Steel 5.56 mags usually go for $40 a pop. CAI used to sell them for around $16 when they were still the importer but I guess that doesn't matter anymore.

Overall, the Zastava M85 or full length M90 are probably the best 5.56 AKs on the market next to S-AM5s. They have the desirable bulged trunnions and are absolute tanks and fairly accurate despite being AK platform weapons. I'd take them over Beryls or SLR 106s any day despite the mag commonality issues.

Have you tried any mags beside the Zasatava ones? I've been looking at mags and the only ones I've found in stock are the polymer polish mags. I've heard they work and they are definitely cheaper than the steel mags.

Does that booster muzzle device actually do anything or is it just for the krink aesthetic?

I can confirm SGM Saiga 556 mags work but they're extremely flimsy. You'd do better to just shell out for steel. The SLR 106 mags seem to work in random people's guns, as well as the Polish. I've heard Galil mags will work but you have to sodder material onto the mag catch. I've personally tried to adapt several 5.45 converted to 5.56 Bakelite mags that CAI used to sell but not a single one worked. Seriously, just get the Serb steel mags.

As for the booster? Yea the Zastava cone that CAI used to import works perfectly. You should still be able to find them for cheap on Gunjoker. I don't know about other manufacturers except that I know the Bulgarian four piece also works but you would need a thread adapter to get it on I believe.

More devices to give the NFA the middle finger.

Yea, those look fun but there's no way a Biden ATF won't go after them. In my opinion, you're basically paying $400 to have the ATF seize Rare Breed's customer records then pay you a personal visit to confiscate your private property.

I don't need to remind anyone here that the ATF makes up their own rules as they go along, and have been doing so for decades despite not being a legislative body with no power to make laws.

Agreed. There is no way you won't get a visit from the alphabet boys should you own one of those. I'm already having flashbacks to the Atkins Accelerator debacle. They can't even make up their mind on what constitutes a stock for fucks sake.

When they were going after the Honeybadger they didn't even measure the length of pull and OAL properly
Yeah, and who exactly determined the method in which to measure that shit? 🤔 The BATFE can't even follow their own guidelines and they wonder why there's so much confusion in regards to the thousands of gun laws already on the books.

They wonder nothing. It's a feature, not a bug.

I can't believe I'm going to quote a neocon, but during the Brett Kavanaugh hearing Ben Sasse unloaded on the Senate Judiciary Committee for the shitfuckery that our government has become,

The BATF is another rogue alphabet agency that's apart of the un-elected fourth branch of government. Our poor decisions in electing people from the two same parties (who honestly couldn't give two shits about 2A or rights in general) have lead to what we're discussing right now.

So, if the worst comes to pass and the Dems win both GA Senate seats in a few days, what legal recourse do we have from Biden's wishlist?

Preferably one that doesn't involve: turning 'em in, paying the cuck stamps, becoming fugitives, or voting from the rooftops.

Do not comply and cache all your shit if it comes to that. No one can take what isn't there.

Get what guns you can now and stock up on ammunition and things like gun oil or cleaning supplies. They’re going to do a lot of shit if they can get both GA senate seats. Hopefully in the worst situation they work to try to pass everything else on their shitty agenda first which would give you enough time to stockpile enough supplies.

The ammunition shortage doesn’t look like it’ll be easing up anytime soon this year so it wouldn’t hurt to buy loading/reloading supplies like bullets and powder and learn to load your own if you can. I’ve been doing that with 9mm and 5.56.

I am immediately reminded of a Fuddly Friend of mine, who keeps T/C contender barrels in almost every imaginable chamber.

In his version of the apocalypse, every cartridge/bullet is a highly desired object.
Sounds like the guy who advocates for the apocalypse six shooter Taurus Judge carry. Don't get me wrong a .410 revolver sounds cool but it's really limited in it's scope. I'd say stick to a common caliber in your area, doesn't really matter what it is, because you're not exactly going to be able to scavenge .375 Weatherby Magnum in your AO no matter how you try. If you roll your own maybe but most people don't.
i suppose in some ways. it looks very different from a Mini-14 in most ways to me other than at a distance. other than the abbreviated carrier, special lower receiver and lower parts kit, and modified recoil system, the upper can be any standard AR-15 compatible upper, and the stock can be modified from a Remington 870 or Stevens 320 stock.

Now that looks pretty nice, too bad Commiefornia peeps are limited to this kind of thing though. Certainly reminds me of something from Star Wars though.
