I guess the shortest way to say it is, if he's willing to cheat, I'd expect him to cheat more - remove more than one rng factor from his speedrun attempts, or have signs of cheating in other runs he's done. Without evidence of either of those things (particularly if the very run where he manipulated RNG... was screwed over from WR pace by bad RNG...)

Then again, maybe I'm expecting too much consistency from someone who... shits themself and talks about it on twitter...

He was found to have unusually good luck over the course of multiple runs in multiple streams. The "he just got lucky" part is mostly harmed by the fact that he had a lot of inhuman luck over the course of many hours of runs. Luck that was very internally consistent within those runs, but not consistent with MC runs in general.

It was over five runs. Regardless, the rng that affects blaze rod drops, ender pearl trades and the amount of eyes on the portal are all different. In other words. you can change one and leave the other the same.
People have made programs which simulate minecraft rng, specifically the drop rates for the items in question
You can run them yourself, I can guarantee you will not get a similar drop rate to dream.

thank you, that's exactly the information i was looking for.

'he consistently gets above-average luck while streaming' is way more convincing to me than 'he got really lucky and then really unlucky once'.

OOooooh so THIS is who Dream is? I remember a while back, I think on twatter or IG I was looking through tags for dream based art (I was drunk and wanted to look at trippy shit for some reason) and I kept getting results for some contest and a bunch of shitty, creepy, Tumblr-styled art of this faggot. Didn't even know Minecraft youtubers were still a thing in 2020, thought that shit died out back in the mid 10's.

I really don't think he's Japanese. They make up 0.35% of Canada's population according to some paper I found on google. I think he's a white guy who doesn't live in a city because his internet is really crappy.

I noticed in a Q&A Raysworks did that he mentions his hobbies besides spending time with his family are fishing and hunting which makes him sound like he's from a more rural area.

Usually a lurker, but some more info on this because I found it interesting. The post references a swatting incident that did actually happen in October of last year.


You'd think it'd be more publicised by him, but because it was done by his doxers thats probably why he stayed quiet.


In addition, the doxers seem to have caught wind of their post circulating again and created a follow up video showing Dream creating red herring doxes with fake info, as well as higher quality images of the break up tweets.
