Is it just me or are the mods cracking down? I've got 3 day globals in the past month for a To Catch a Predator thread on /tv/ and another for bumping my own thread with a "shitpost" on /vrpg/. Seen a lot of bitching on /qa/ about the moderation too.

One month is a pretty short time period for such a specific claim to come to pass, isn't it? Why mention Vegas specifically? I figure this guy was only told about vague plans and things were still in their planning stages when the post was made. He did say "I can't guarantee anything will happen tomorrow but Vegas is on their minds". As for the company merger that never happened... it's possible the deal fell through.

It's all speculation, but the timing of the post and accuracy of the location is enough to raise an eyebrow imo.

Vegas is a nexus for crazies with very bad risk assessment and far laxer security than you'd think- I work in the casino industry, and the shit people can get away with you wouldn't believe.
Also, once again; this was allegedly done to try and force metal detectors everywhere, and bluntly, there in less places now than previously. They don't even use them in a lot of casinos.
Your theory is nothing short of pure copium on par with the /pol/tards who still insist Trump is going to win the election.

Lol, copium for what? The reason for the shooting doesn't affect me in any way. I don't care why it happened, it's pure curiosity on my part.

If he had talked about random crazies you'd be right, but what he's talking about is something bigger than some drunk with a gun. You can't deny that the shooting itself was weirder than what one would expect from an average nutter. We still don't know Paddock's motives, among other things.

It is true that none of the predictions regarding metal detectors have come to pass, however.
