Fallout series

By the time of Fallout 3 it's been completely phased out, even the Enclave's interior garrison at the mobile crawler had MKII Power Armor.
I still think it's a sensible theory.
Combat armor was still used by the US military in 2077 and later by the Enclave, soldiers are wearing it in the Fallout 4 cinematic, it's in Operation: Anchorage in FO3. It's in Navarro and the Sierra Army Depot in Fallout 2...

Again, they seem to have phased it out entirely by 2277 as we see no Enclave personnel wearing it after the destruction of Control Station Enclave. At all.

Granted it is possible they do have some soldiers we never see wearing it, but it's also just as likely they used it as payment to Talon Company for a few jobs like securing the Capitol building. Especially if they ARE buying steel from the Pitt to create more suits of APA MKII, why the fuck keep the old suits when you have more than enough new ones?

I'm never too big on these big mods due to how inconsistent the VO quality is, but this seems like a big deal for some people.

Apparently there's some shit show on /v/ over a lizard people faction and the stream was taken down because people wouldn't quit bothering about it or whatever along with politics about the Legion and NCR, something Trump supporters. I wouldn't know didn't watch the stream personally though, I think the mod looks alright.

One thing I always wondered about Fallout 3 was who the actual fuck are Talon Company? Where did they come from? Why do they have such good standardized equipment?
Lmao, they're dudes to kill if you have good karma. There's no thought put into them beyond that. Rando faction of color coded meanies that can't handle the existence of niceness, fodder for combat encounters.

I watched the stream before they deleted it.
This post sums up some of the things that were said during the last 30 mins of the stream.

Another choice quote missing is the "Kojima was are inspiration" and them banning people on discord over this

I mean to be fair Fallout 2 had a talking deathclaw that wanted to be a porn star and cross dressing super mutants. Fallout 1/2 were silly as hell and I think there's a decent argument to be made that Fallout 3/4 took themselves way too seriously and somewhat suffered for it.

Fallout New Vegas had fisto the sex robot and a cult of ghouls that flew to the moon on a homemade rocket. Lizard people aren't too much of a stretch.

Tl,dr The Frontier looks fun and I'll probably play it despite political spergs reeeeeeeeeeing.

No. Not FISTO. The Fully Integrated Security Technotronic Officer. That said, the funniest part of the quest was James Garret being so shamelessly "I hate those damn robo-fetishists (where's my goddan sexbot you dumb-ass Courier) that is totally not for me but those vile degenerates who love fucking metal (now where the fuck is my, no their sexbot)"

Has anyone played The Frontier yet? The Nexus reception is very mixed but I'm not sure if that means anything because Nexus posters are generally bitchy reddit tier tards.

One thing I heard is that TF is too focused on combat and the action sequences, to the extent where it feels like a cowadoody campaign at times. Which I'm kind of curious about because F3/F:NV have pretty goddamn horrendous FPS combat to build an entire shooting gallery around it, so I wonder how TF handles it.

I've already put a couple hours into it and I consider it to be a well made mod that gets ruined by some of the edgy original character donut steel NPCs, ridiculous cutscenes that felt unnecessary, and the occasional railroading that can put Bethesda to shame.

been playing some fallout frontier. lore rape story and awful voice acting aside, its pretty damn good and im shocked how big it is for a mod. heard the NCR side of the story is bad with COD moments and you dont even get to play as your courier for the most part. been playing on my legion character and the game opens up the moment you join their side and you get to explore and do quests. the legion in the frontier is a more "modern" outlook of the legion with them being open to use science and technology not just for the guys on top but on your average legion grunt as well. grunt are no longer use as meat shields were only the "strong" survive and use more sparely for battle.

been exploring portland and found some interesting ruins. one was me fighting a ghost trying to take over my body and one having to dodge a mine filed and chase down a brotherhood sniper. last night, i went full fist of the north star and punch a tank so hard it exploded on my face. speaking of explosives, the npc enemies love throwing bombs around but half the time they end up blowing themselves and other around them up. thank god i have an anti-explosive perk on me or i would have died many times over.

the problem with silly is that it also has to make sense. A lot of Fallout 3 over NV faggots think humor means they don't have to care about plot holes or shitty writing.

theres no real way to explain away lizard people; although from what i'm hearing this mod gives less of a fuck about canon than fallout 76. having said that, here's a shot at it.

It was a Canadian project gone bad and ended up being used as justification by the US to invade. Canada figured that all the gas and nukes would fuck up the environment and humans should just be more in tune with nature. end result is a species with enhanced intelligence and lizard features but surprisingly weak bodies. borderline disabled*

*i'm sure in-game they're just generic enemy #4.

I haven't started playing it yet, my headcannon is that they are just Reptilians from alien conspiracy.

I wonder how it compares to New California, which I played over the summer, but I remember being fun but a mess. It really makes your appreciate what Bethesda/Obsidian got right from a gameplay experience. I felt like I missed a ton cause I want given any kind of impression what I was doing was impactful until I looked it up and realized that almost all of the companions are established/saved in the prologue, or there is stuff outside of the tutorial quests that drastically change your story line.
