Well, I part ways with Freud in the Eros and Thanatos parts. He tries to animalize humans ie the reptilian brain. Humans do have repetitive survival patterns but we do have agency over those patterns as a higher organic being than dogs.
Eros and Thanatos are just archetypes he used for love (or rather... lust, I think) and death. "Reptilian brain" wasn't used by Freud, that's my insert as a metaphore for something primal.
That agency you're talking about is consciousness, Ego in freudian model.

I never understood why pavlov's dog experiments or any kind of animal behavior could be applied to human behavioral patterns.
That's a different school of psychology, behaviorism (most basic way of explaining it: it's only possible to observe and modify behavior, fixing behavior fixes mind). Conditioning does work on people. For example victim of a traumatic event can develop association between the event and object or situation related to the event and develop phobia related to the object or event - just like the dogs associated sound of a bell with food.

Humans can interrupt behaviors. Rehabs prove this everyday.
Rehab works on conscious level - you are aware of the problem and take action to deal with it. Behavioral conditioning is subconscious and beyond control. Let's say I was hit by a red car. My brain developed a patern between red car and terrible pain and therfore decided that every red car is a source of pain and danger. Or I was assaulted on a specific road and my brain now thinks that this road is the most dangerous place on Earth. I can't do anything about the feeling of dread related to red cars or walking down that road (I can still drive a red car or go down that road but dread remains).

It's about the personhood. You're walking down the street and you see a person you hate, your Id remembers the personal injury and wants retaliation but the super ego reminds you that the ramifications of retaliation are greater than the momentary satisfaction of punching the shit out the bottomfeeder. It's behavior interruptus. It's determined by the self training the super ego has over the ID to protect the ID. The feelings of injury are just feelings.
What you describe is "anticipation" - another defense mechanism like "sublimation" and "distortion". You basically tell ID: "Shut up, if we go with your plan we'll suffer", so you anticipate consequences of your action. It's one of the good \ healthy mechanisms.

I do believe in subconscious connection. I also believe that is subject to super ego influence.
And this could explain teen boys troubling wet dreams dealing with new subconscious sexual narratives that engage the sexual mind in sleep and the lack of experiential usage and control leads to the expected outcome. The mind/Id/soul is very strong.
Well, Young is an aknowledged psychologist, who am I to dispute his theories? :) You can read more about this, I explained it in very basic terms.

Anyways, it was nice discussing but it's late and I need to get some rest. We can continue later if you feel like it but in the meantime, nigty.

Yes, but that's not what I said. Please Pam, learn to read. I said you were throwing a hissy, as in hissy fit. Because you are being childish and having a tantrum.

Autocorrect changed the word.
Take your meds.

We won't be.

Take your meds.

In that case I've obviously seen a hissy fit because you've had one several times.

Good to see you starting to understand the importance of regularly taking medication. You should take yours, Pam. Show me how it's done.

We won't be.

Won't be what? Continuing? You don't have the impulse control to resist, Pam.

You should take a break. You are having mental breakdowns.

You should take a break. You are having mental breakdowns.
The funniest part is you tell other people they are having "mental breakdowns" and to "take your meds" when you reject any rational argument that you live in a delusional state and your refusal to seek professional help has paralyzed your life.

You claim the Red-Brown coalition is a ruse but you believe scam emails from 8 years ago written in Russian are real proof that supports your made up fantasy. Even the judge who threw out your lolsuit is "part of the conspiracy".

I believe you all are suffering from some strange delusions.

And how am I having a breakdown, Pam? I'm quite curious.

On the one hand, I'm torn between whether Pam is simply accusing us of these things because having them said to her makes her mad and she wishes to elicit the same reaction in us as we do in her, or whether she says these things to project them onto other people instead of facing them in herself. That she does it because A and B is also entirely on the table, naturally.

I believe you all are suffering from some strange delusions.

This handily demonstrates my hypothesis that Pam accuses us all of what she knows to be true of herself deep down.

You all come across desperate and demented. You've learned a few psychology terms and you throw them around trying to accuse those with accusations against you because you all are sloppy bullies. You think you should be allowed to harass people.

Maybe you all should take a break.

What delusions would those be Pam?

She projects her own problems onto others so she can desperately cling to the idea that she's important in the lives of celebrities and not a laughingstock for random people on the internet. Instead of ignoring trolls she incorporates them into her wild conspiracy.

You're the one who is talking about freshman level 101 psychology and posting your grades.

You all come across desperate and demented.

This is projection, Pam. We are not the one who spent our birthday arguing with random people online. That is the definition of demented.
You think you should be allowed to harass people.
No one is harassing you Pam, you come here voluntarily and stick around because you need the attention

I posted them to prove you were lying. Which is all you know how to do.

I think you're posting through 2 accounts to harass me.

And what other account is mine Pam?

I only have 1 account. You think too highly of yourself to think that I would waste my time creating 2 accounts for you.

Also, no one is harassing you. You come here on your own all the times.

Creating a hate thread is harassment.

Yes you did Tony.

I am not Tony and I didn't.

Also the real Tony didn't create it either. You know why? Because he doesn't know you exist.

I believe Harvey Weinstein, Tony Robbins created this thread.

Was it Harvey or Tony? You know they are not the same person right?

And still no, they didn't, that is your delusions.
