TL;DW Apparently no one was bothering to use the corpse disposal methods because they're tedious and there's no negative impact for not using them ...so he added a bunch of new corpse disposal methods that are tedious and there's still no negative impact for not using them.
"A corpse inside a garbage bag doesn't have a humanoid shape"
Nigga what? A body in a garbage bag is definitely going to have a humanoid shape. It's shaped like a body, it's the size of a body and Ayano is carrying it like a fucking body.
The bag model in the game looks like there's literally nothing in it. That's not how garbage bags work - especially the cheap ones. You'd need to have a bag that's made of really thick material - like an actual body bag - that doesn't wrap around shit to hide the shape of the body inside and even then it'd be obvious that a human is inside.

Yep.
Joke one.

His pinned comment on his latest video directs people to his website where he gives his side of the story where nobody is allowed to counter-argue his point of view, so idiots and young children will just believe it. Of course this is nothing new, but it's still no less funny that he's still trying.

The first one redirects to this URL: But the contents of the post omit Osana. He can update the contents of the post but not the URL. The man can't even run his own website right.

This is a flawless way to address drama that's worked so well in the past, just keep reminding folks or make them aware that drama exists without anyone asking, and everything that people are criticising you for is a hateful narrative you feel you have to constantly correct on platforms you have absolute control over. That's not a red flag at all. :story:

Why though? I don't recall any big drama happening around him lately, so why is he trying to "clear things out"?

There's been no one specific recent instance of Alex tanking his reputation to require a clearing of the air (as most everything he mentioned was several years old), though I assume that even with all of the PR disasters Alex puts out every few months like clockwork his reputation probably precedes him in the normie crowds (i.e., the people with money). The problem lies in that their opinion of him wouldn't be of "that guy that told someone to shove a cactus up their butt, eat it then die" or insert PR disaster here, but rather "he's that one guy that's been working on a game for over six years and it's still a broken mess". Alex's KnowYourMeme page only manages to cover one of the PR fuckups yet still manages to be rather accurate and brutal in portraying that the biggest obstacle to Yandere Simulator's completion is Alex himself.

It's likely just Alex blaming others for his failures, again. "If it weren't for random people on the internet saying mean things about me the game would be done and be the best thing ever, and I would have all of the recognition I deserve as the awesome game developer that I am!" Alex can't be responsible for the consequences of his actions; everything bad in his life is the result of someone else out to get him.

I sometimes wonder if Alex has mentally set the crowdfunding campaign as the point where he either cuts and runs or quits, but I doubt his ego would ever allow that. He's still got to make his precious baby Lunar Scythe after all.

You are right, but what I tried to say was this - if this is not his reaction to some recent events, then is he trying to set a soil for a Kickstarter, like he said in his blogpost? I mean, this is not Hate and Shame 2, but still, this is something new, he usually just used his blog and website.

He could be preparing for the crowdfunding campaign, but much like Osana it's hard to tell whether or not it's actually coming right up until the moment where he finally pulls the trigger. Other than his leaked emails I don't recall if Alex has given a date that he wants to run the campaign by. Given his track record, see all of you back here in a couple years to discuss the crowdfunding disaster.

"I realize that some of these new features will make older ones obsolete"

Then maybe you should have either not added them at all, or rework them so that is no longer the case? Because now those features are basically just dead content. (There is no longer any reason to join the Art, Drama (The raincoat comes with gloves so you can use it to frame for murder), or Light Music Club). This update in general just highlights Alex's complete inability to understand balancing. Also I love how he brings up how he has had a problem with how a lot of club benefits aren't really worth it, and he didn't think that making some of the few clubs that actually are worth it redundant might contribute to the problem. Game Design 101 kids.

On another note, I love how Alex took the time to adjust the moon so that it corresponds to where it would be in April 2022 instead of April 2021, but couldn't be bothered to explain why Ayano would still need a fake ID to buy cigarettes if she is supposed to be 18. (I brought this up a couple pages ago, but for the people to lazy to go back, next year Japan is going to lower their age of adulthood from 20 to 18 ). Regardless of whether or not he knew that, it looks really funny, only thing that would change would be why.

I had a random thought that reminded me that it's been two months since Joel_creeper was thrown under the bus and essentially disappeared. On a whim, I glanced at the list of subreddit moderators.

AMZE is no longer on the list of moderators, and they appear to be absent from the Discord server as well. Environmental_Use797 is almost certainly an alt for someone as the account appears to have never been used outside of the yansim subreddit and was created a month ago.

Also, at some point I think the application form changed again.

Accounts outside of Discord no longer required (aside from having to login to a google account to fill out the form), but including "Do you like Yandere Simulator?" as a question really tells you all you need to know.

he what??? Damn, I didn’t read most of the blog except the whiny parts that I felt compelled to make fun of him for, and I sure as hell didn’t watch that video.
I’m just going to patiently wait for the moon to break the game or bug the fuck out. I won’t be waiting long though because Alex

Yea no shit some of the benefits weren't worth it Alex? The Music club only mattered if you wanted to mutilate corpses with the saw or move around katanas, which don't really align with the "stealth" theme the game's supposedly going for (and I'm pretty sure cutting up bodies just fucks with your sanity meter faster). If he even remembers writing the story about the Music club's leader or gives a shit about it still, he could maybe, just maybe come up with a better incentive to join the club based on it. Otherwise it's as useless as the Gaming club (and funny enough just as cluttered and overdecorated) and only exists for Alex's Lunar Scythe waifu to live through.

New to the forums btw, hi

:story: Holy shit, in the first minute of the video he says something that would actually make complete sense (the school becoming more paranoid) and is then like "however!" He literally talked himself out of one of the few smart decisions he's made for the game.
I honestly expected him for a moment to implement a feature that makes the gameplay interesting to engage with. My expectations have been shattered like usual.
The best part is his explanation why he doesn't think this (perfectly fine) design choice is not going to be in the game:
Punishing the player by making the game more inconvenient is not the right course of action. The correct solution is to figure out, why players don't enjoy corpse disposal.
He at least got one thing right: It's not fun to drag every corpse to the furnance every single time. But instead of looking at the Hitman franchise once again, he decides it's more fun to acquire multiple items to dispose of one corpse.
But he isn't actually making the game more inconvenient to play with harsher security measures. He would be PUNISHING SPECIFIC PLAYSTILES. And punishing playstiles is fine. Every game does it.
Instead of making dragging obsolete, copy Hitman once more and spam boxes for easy corpse disposal. And if the Player chooses to not dispose of corpses, the game should punish that specific strategy, to make other strategies more appealing. It's not that hard.

Instead of making dragging obsolete, copy Hitman once more and spam boxes for easy corpse disposal.
Hitman doesn't have corpse disposal boxes for the most part, it has corpse hiding boxes. The difference between Agent 47 and Ayano is that Agent 47 doesn't have to return to the crime scene, so any random dead men don't matter and if someone finds them after he goes home after a mission is totally irrelevant.
And Alex did spam boxes for hiding, what do you think all those tall lockers that are all identically blocked by chairs are for?

It doesn't change the Gameplay if you dispose of a corpse in a shredder or a box.

The Lockers are only a temporary solution, if you trust the FANDOM wiki:
Hiding corpses is only a temporary solution, as they will still be found at the end of the day unless they are disposed of.
There are only 4 different ways to permanently dispose of a body, meaning the player has to transport a corpse over longer distances than in any Hitman level.

Something about their posting mannerisms (archive) leads me to feel that this is indeed Joel under his new name.
The inconsistent use of capitalisation at the start of sentences, unnecessarily adding page breaks in the middle of sentences, openly being a coomer, the way they post which flip-flops between "moderator" and "immaturity", and the frequent use of formatting their text, like strikethroughs or italics. On their own none of this would mean much, but it's uncanny to what I've seen of Joel's posts.
If nothing else, call it a hunch.

Could be clasping at straws with this one, but they seem familiar enough with how the Midoribot works enough to fix a problem when it fucks up.

They also seem closely familiar with Adolfin.

My first thought upon looking into it was that it was likely Joel's alt, but I wasn't too sure as I'm not familiar with their online mannerisms and really didn't feel like looking into it further. Nice to know I wasn't alone in that suspicion.

Unfortunately he deleted his old Reddit account and I'm too lazy right now to fish up old screenshots, but thankfully Joel has a thread dedicated to him with screenshots of him ERPing with minors I could use as a reference. The way he presents himself online is quite distinctive.

Edit:
I also forgot, Joel posting on Discord support, for a comparison.

Edit 2:
Two newer posts. Also noticed he likes to put text in brackets a lot, and sometimes substitutes a full stop for a comma, or uses a comma to continue his thoughts on a new line.

(Off-topic?) I think we all already know about Alex's Twitch phrase bot on Discord, and how he's admitted to having less of a filter on stream, but...
I genuinely want to see how he would answer if someone asked him about this stuff.

Jeez, I wonder if Cleveland reads this thread. Imagine whiteknighting some asshole, working as his free janitor and paying him 100 bucks a month for more than three years, then you get rightfully pissed at him and leave - he forgets about you the same day and never mentions again. Then some sick fuck gets caught sexting a minor and he goes out of his way to bring him back, even though it can ruin him forever and this guy just writes bots for his server. That's gotta hurt.
