BreadTube - The Unofficial ContraPoints Dickriders Club and the culture / drama surrounding the community.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
Olly won't commit Minecraft unless Contrapoints does it first.
I would vote that PT will hero first. Under all intellectual claims Nat is classic hedonist - will be content with drugs, booze and whoreing till the end. Also now has enough clout to waltz back into academia and/or have a book published. Outside accidental OD there is no reason to cut party short.
On other side PT already have
-confirmed (or bitch lied again) self-harm tendencies, with which he went to complete hack of lolsorandom psychiatris,
-list of abysmal romatic relationships,
-exponencially growing need for outside validation,
-pretensions to acting IRL, to which London scene was showing middle finger for what, 5 years now?
- there is no such thing as parents-doctors, that are not dissapointed, that their offspring don't work in medic field

what ever happened to "male privilege"? shouldn't their life be worse now that they're a woman?
It's a win-win situation.

They lose their male privilege within their immediate social group and the larger Left as a whole, but both their social group and the broader Left views male privilege as extremely odious. So, losing their male privilege is actually a benefit: they can now act like pushy, rude, 'mansplain-y' men who talk over everyone else -- essentially their pre-transition personality -- but now they'll be told how stunning and brave they are for behavior that would have gotten them yelled at before. Look at how many people are cucking to PT who had previously tried to cancel them for the Trump "transition" joke few months back. Slap on a dress and you can get away with literally *ANYTHING* with that group.

Society as a whole though? At worst (from their perspective), they're still viewed as men (albeit mentally ill men) and thus still have male privilege. At best (again, from their perspective), they're pushed into leadership positions, have their feelings catered to, promoted in their jobs, etc. even more so than cis women do, because even people who would otherwise view them as mentally ill men and ignore them are too worried about being cancelled and having their own bottom line negatively effected in the current political climate. So, ironically, the "men always get their way, have an easier time and advance far beyond what their abilities would allow for otherwise because they're treated preferentially by the patriarchy" feminist trope ends up being true, just with extra steps.

This is why (and I realize this probably isn't a popular opinion here, but hey that's why I post on KF: differing views are allowed and, at worst, will just get you laughed at for a page or two, not fired or cancelled or whatever else) I'm generally more sympathetic to troons who go through with SRS -- I'll still clown on them for cutting their dicks or tits off, don't get me wrong because that is objectively funny, but I simultaneously have a very begrudging sort of quasi-respect for people that are that committed to it; it's easy as fuck to "transition" if you're a part of the whole "SRS is transphobic, HRT is transphobic, passing is transphobic, if someone says they're a woman, even if they present as 100% male, then they're a woman uwu" group and that's why so many grifters and abusers flock to that sort of transgenderism; it's quite literally a get out of jail free card. Been such a piece of shit that no one fucks with you anymore? Come out as trans and blame your shitty past behavior on gender dysphoria and you get to hit the reset button on your social life and start over with cheat codes enabled.

After all YouTube communities are almost completely online. Where does BreadTube exist outside the online world? In which real places do people proclaim their pronouns, on the construction site? Hell, I've just written a dissertation paper at my university (and like every university, there is wokeness) and we only had TWO options for gender: male and female. And we even used the word sex, not gender. Why? Because listing 200 gender identities is just too tiresome. Humans are practical creatures, they want simplicity.

I understand the desire to say things like this, but construction sites aren't in the driver seat.

Sure, I'm aware that academia, media and the government have more power than the plebs. But cosmopolitanism tends to fall apart when the elite becomes too detached from the everyday people. Otherwise the French monarchy would still exist or my people would still be living in the Ottoman Empire.

Talking about philosphy doesn't make you a philosopher oh my God. Some people have argued that Seneca isn't a philosopher in the strict sense of the world because he doesn't really present any new philosophical theory, but mostly writes about about already established ideas; these two retards barely even do that. If they are philosophers then the essays I wrote for philosophy class in high school make me a philosopher too. Or sorry do I need to dress like a clown and sing the praises of girldick to be one?
Having studied ancient philosophy in the original languages (though my focus was on poetry and drama, I did a couple semesters of Senecan tragedy and philosophy) the "Philosophy" part of PhilosophyTube always pissed me off. It's literal buffoonery. Making a video essay about trannies doesn't begin to compare with actual philosophers. Regurgitating cold political and social takes using ten dollar words and "studies" with a dramatic flair isn't philosophy. Socrates didn't die for this shit.

Totally agree. All he does is namedrop a shit ton early on in his videos to appear to people who don't understand this stuff as far more well read than he actually is. His best work is either very entry level (Logic, and to a lesser extent his video on Confucius) or simply not about philosophy (Data).

Greg Sadler is the channel people should check out if they want actual philosophy on YouTube, and if you want it served up with a side of communism and without having to read any actual books then Cuck Philosophy is still leagues ahead of PT.

I guarantee there are university-level philosophy lectures on youtube, though I've never looked. There are plenty of podcasts out there that are worthwhile. The "History of Philosophy" one is actually quite good, though not entirely necessary to listen to entirely. I can't get my mind around Neoplatonism, for instance.

Or reading always works. Kant is dry as fuck, sure, but I found stuff like Plato's Phaedo actually entertaining.

To be fair, I imagine this is what a philosophy class is like in today's university setting. I've spoken to recent philosophy grads and they couldn't tell me anything about Kant, Frege, or Gettier.

For all the troon's preaching about it being a philosophy channel, I searched to see if I could find any blathering about Mind-Body duality and couldn't find anything. Since tranny thinking presupposes such a thing exists (my body is male, but my soul is female), I was surprised to not find backwards reasoning to advocate for it.

Maybe best to not bring up the mind-body thing, as it leads to thinking about the existence of souls/essence. Also, the mind-body problem has a rich history of evil white religious men talking about it.

Yeah, "Philosophy" Tube clearly spent more time studying political science than in philosophy. I suppose you could call PS a branch of philosophy, but for the life of me I've never seen her deal with even basic epistemology. "John Stuart Mill's liberalism is naive" isn't exactly a exciting observation.

Some good channels for philosophy are Carneades.org and Kane B: the former is better for brief but informative introductions, while the latter really delves into obscure and complicated schools or topics as impartially as one can.

Well, I can't speak that much about it since I studied chad Classics, not virgin philosophy. But I also went to a top uni and have friends who continued into the PhD philosophy program there. It seemed to me that you could study philosophy without learning much of importance (e.g. most people who study philosophy to get a good GPA and apply to law school) or you could study it for hardcore academia (people who want to get a PhD and teach). But one who went into the PhD program was a math major who got into philosophy later, and she very much looked down on the pure philosophy undergrads.

I'm probably not a good example since I didn't go to a normie uni, I guess.

the reason why the french monarchy fell or why the ottoman empire crumbled wasnt because of cosmopolitanism. the french monarchy fell because of a famine that they couldnt avoid which was blamed on them by revolutionaries. the Ottomans fell because of the death of imperialism and the rise of nationstates based on ethnicity.

I went to a normie uni and only took the basic philosophy 101 course and while it obviously isn't a deep dive into the subject I at least understand the general ideas of kant, descartes, nietzsche, rand, dewey, kierkegaard and such. I even know what actual bad faith criticism and the principle of charity is, which is something that most youtubers and debate bros fail to understand.

What annoys me the most about philosophy tube is that he claims to be a philosopher but does nothing except explain different subjects at a surface level. He refuses to engage in debates, doesn't write or present any arguments either. But I guess that would be the hard work and olly would rather waste his time designing costumes and sets instead of researching and writing.

> I noticed all my favorite philosophers are gay and trans.
Says a lot more about them than anything else
"We are forced to be interrogated by psychologists"

I'm sure that modern English psychologists are just so evil.

He tried to present "I think therefore I am" like it was scholarly

Yeah he seems like a faggot who wants to do theatre that applied it to a new grift where he can be a pseudointellectual.

Reminds me of legaleagle, in a way. There's a reason no philosophy PhD (who actually completed their degree, even a terminal master's) is doing a breadtube grift. Northwestern or Columbia or Duke educated lawyers don't start up youtube channels for a living. The people that go into youtube for a living are those who can't secure a financially or personally viable path elsewhere. If that's the person teaching you philosophy or law, it's a problem.
