It's not even 5 minutes, it's like 2-3 minutes of livers" singing" Nyan Cat, but the autotune kinda ruined it for me. It's still a good event tho and I will jump into any Niji ID premieres

That's one of the reasons I like Hoshikawa, she flat out doesn't give the racists and such the time of day. Hell, she actively downvote baits them in her videos sometimes.

Well, also, she has no filter at all. Apparently the first time she met Gundou Mirei IRL, she dash hugged her while crying and screaming "SENSEEEI!" (close personal contact being very rude and shocking with people you don't know well in Japanese culture), and then shocked the people at a restraunt they went to by trying to sit next to Gundou instead of across from her (major violation of Japanese restraunt ettiquette).

Gundou is a pretty classic tsundere in terms of her Niji personality.

Jokes apart you are right but half way wrong, you see before Gamers like you said the talents were pretty much glorified performers but then they saw the numbers of the gaming streams and tried to create a subdivision (Nijisanji also did this, Belmond was one that rebranded) aka Gamers that would behave like a normal streamers, because it was a big success the shift started hard after that because no one gave to much of a shit of a pure gamer streamer then Coco came and carpet bombed the place to kingdom come and became the most shekeled person on the planet

So Japan noticed "hey this shit is literally printing money so lets stop pretending that we are AKB48" you can notice this with Botan that there is no fucking way she is ugguuu idol material but instead she has the talent to teabag scrubs on Battlefield now she is the national idol of Russia

It took a couple of beatings for Holopro to learn that a international audience doesnt give a flying shit if a streamer swear in stream

Speaking of AKB, does anybody have an insight as to how them or other idol groups have been faring since VTubers (well, Hololive is the only VTuber idol agency I'm aware of) exploded in popularity? I used to hear a lot about 'em but they seem to have declined in the recent years. I'd assume with the pandemic AKB's business model has taken a hit, because it relies on close interactions with fans.

Their fame decline since the graduation of Maeda Atsuko, and more decline after the most famous member start to graduate and the new generation can't carry what their senpai did.

Edit : Ironically AkiP made AKB rival wich is Nogizaka group and they more popular than AKB group this day.
