Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

His AoT character also doubles as the narrator. That character hasn't appeared in the new season yet, but he's been doing the narration for the new episodes. IMDB says he hasn't voiced anything in Black Clover since 2019.

Wait, is this thread now suddenly sponsored by Broccoli Cheddar soup bowls?

I have to disagree. Generally speaking, there are three reasons why a twitch streamer becomes popular.

One, they're really good at a particular game, so people come in to watch and learn.
Two, they're decently attractive, have tits, and simps lose all sense of dignity to become paypigs.
Three, they're genuinely interesting. For these people, viewers don't come to watch the gameplay. They could be playing Dark Souls, or chess, or Hatoful Boyfriend, and people wouldn't care because, in general, the streamer is interesting and likes to interact with the audience. He's apparently a potato at video games and doesn't have a desire to stream them, but if he did start playing some boomer game like the OG Super Mario he'd still be popular and interactive with his audience.
When the idea to move to Twitch was floated, there was a constant struggle to get unlocked to stay stable and consistent from week to week.

So, we were presented with three choices. IG Live, YouTube, or Twitch. Each with Pros and Cons.
IG live would alienate some people without the app
YT could be a target for false flagging
Twitch... we didn’t know. AT ALL.
But we saw twitch as sort of a Digital Public Access Television platform, where we can share more than just video games,
and grow as we learn.

For right now, getting comfortable with it all after the intense learning is what I’d really like him to focus on.
Partner will always be a goal to achieve, but i want Vic and the fans to enjoy their time together. It’s the one moment per week they can hang out and just goof off without worrying about the terrible things in the world.
If down the road he finds a game to play, i will get that set to do, but until now, he’s just happy with a stable stream where the Fans can have fun in a non judge mental atmosphere.
But no, he wasn’t making a jab at anyone. He wouldn’t use his platform to tear others down like that :)

That's also an old picture. Here's a new one, courtesy @TexOffender, he's the slob in the middle

Monica is frightening,I threw up a little at her posing as froppy.

He says there's no bad blood with his client moving on to someone else, but his tweet announcing he was losing his house over it came off as super aggressive. And I thought menstruating women had terrible mood swings.
When someone says there's no bad blood, it usually means there's bad blood. Especially if it's costing him a house and tweeting about it.

He'd also not have to worry about losing his house or whatever if he got up and you know... got an actual job instead of only relying on voice acting to pay the bills. That and generally being a piece of shit on social networks makes people not want to work with you.

It pays to dip your hands in multiple things so that way you have a back up plan if things start going tits up.

I dunno if he does have an actual job or not but he seems pretty okay wasting time on twitter bitching about it.

Yeah I'm rethinking that too lol I'm just so used to people being mean I see it in places it isn't.

Besides Armin, the only other returning role that I can think of that was from a well received show was the main character from Quintuplets (which I don't think has an official dub announcement yet). The role he lost was probably for some random show that hasn't been announced yet.

EDIT: Also, though unlikely, is the chance the gig was something not animoo related at all.

"10 pairs of gay pants with every house!"
He plays the bird guy in my hero academia.

Thank you for this. Now her and Luci make sense with their posing. I have no idea who the rest of the people play in MHA or why Grelle is in the middle, but appreciate understanding that aspect at least.

Some guy with a bootleg AniMat avatar who made a shitty comic where a character from some show from twenty-something years ago, has said character beating up Vic which earned him short term gain such as Monica following him or a like from Jamie.

The sped would then cry about "trolls" bullying him, even though he instigated this shit with his gay comic.

Funi will still give them roles. Appeals is moot after seeing how lawsuits in the "culture war" means you're going to lose.

You are probably right. The hypersensitive will have their day, but Vic is still standing. No point in expecting the appeals court to rule in Vic's favor at this point. It will be a miracle if they do rule in his favor. Hope for the best but expect the worst.

That is true if we take what he says at face value, he should have been doing that. He has a wife and kids right? If that is the case as well, it makes no sense not to be taking other side jobs as well. I'll take what he says with a grain of salt, cause twitter is mostly about clout and being triggered over retarded things.

Welp the Quinton Flynn Saga seems to be over. He won his court case and now the BewareQFlynn has been taken down

While he did have alot more damning evidence than Vic, this victory against Cancel Culture feels......hollow. Also people are pissed off. Reminds me of the TCPA Hearing aftermath
I wouldn't call this a "victory" per se.
Krissy will probably try this again in the future (maybe next year).
She just needs the backing of Quinton Flynn's enemies in the industry to get that clout she was desperately trying to obtain.
