Phil has a simplistic view of the world. People told Phil he was immature because he made too many sex jokes and acted like a perverted 13 year old, so to Phil being mature must mean doing the exact opposite and completely disavowing sex altogether, to the point where he won't even do dating missions in games anymore, not realizing he comes across like an even bigger weirdo. It's like a coping mechanism for the lack of sex within his marriage, I don't really know what the fuck his deal is. Another example of this is Phil's work schedule, which he autistically sticks to no matter what because he thinks that's how mature adults live. Any suggestion of ways Phil can make better use of his time are shot down as not understanding how the world works.
