I can't believe you people saying "OMG, he made Hitler". He's fucking degrading Hitler, everyone but neo-nazis should be fine with that.

Personally i think whoever ordered this wanted just regular Hitler, Chris said no and this is the result of their negotiations. Much better than just plain old Adolf imho.

I think the main issue is that he reserves the right to refuse to make something if it is "offensive". And has in the past, I think.

Perhaps people would have preferred he just said "Nope, I'm not making Hitler". But I don't see the big deal. It is clearly not his intent to produce anything but an anti-Hitler, anti-Nazi thing. It is a little silly, because everything Chris does is a little silly.

Even if Chris mixed a lot of powdered autism into the Crayola Model Magic, at the very base he still honored the request. He could have turned it down or simply ignored the request, but he didn't because money autism.

He didn't honor the request verbatim. He said "ok, I'll do hitler... *proceeds to mock hitler*". This isn't offensive to anyone but fans of Hitler.

I don't see how this is a money ploy distinct from his usual business of making custom medallions.

It was basically just casual anti-Semitism. He didn't like Snyder, Snyder ran a store, therefore Snyder must be a Jew, because Jews are bad. If he's realized that was a pretty bullshit attitude to have, good. It'd be nice if he'd realize Snyder wasn't the bad guy in that scenario, either, but he has apparently realized that he was wrong about that part of it. Or at least that it's unacceptable to express such views these days.

I don't think Chris' position has changed substantially since then. I think Chris has always known that "hitler = bad" and "hating jews = bad". However, Chris saw on South Park that calling someone a Jew was an insult.

When Chris reconciled these two conflicting ideas, I think he sort of settled on "HE'S A JEW, not that there's anything wrong with that..."

Heh, now, the funny thing, is that I think Chris actually does believe that. Mostly because I don't think Chris knows what a Jew is, pretty much. Aside from the barest, washed over TV cliches. For the same reason, I don't think Chris is (substantially) racist either.

All Chris knows is that JEW is a funny insult and that hating Jews is bad because TV tells him Hitler and nazis were bad.

Edit: Heh, how hilarious must it've been for Snyder (who isn't jewish) to have Chris shout JEW at him? I'm reminded of the black white supremacist sketch from Chappelle's show.
