Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

I wonder: How long would it take a dedicated (and equal parts autistic) modding team to make a full Cyberpunk game that looks/plays like the 2018 demo? I mean, it's a legitimate possibility if the source code gets shared.

Hell they could even get some amateur to do new voice lines. Never played the game but god does male V sound like such a tryhard.

I don't give a shit about the source ( okay maybe a little if it has any funny comments) I wanna see email from upper management talking making the fake 2018 demo, the increase realization on how fucked they are, and / or the panicking of the console QA testers.

I like male V. As far as voiced protagonists in FPS games go I appreciate he has more personality than most modern ones, and I dunno, his VA just has a great sound wearing headphones ingame. Every character's a tryhard (the worst is Johnny), but the game overall embracing this instead of unintentionally bumbling into it makes it enjoyable.

Well that is an impressive oof for sure if real, which now seems likely. Holy shit, CD Projekt Red! When it's time to get fucked, your pants will drop on their own, as my people would say...

I actually liked the performance of female V too.

Note that most modders already said that they won't touch the source code to fix the game since it is highly illegal to do so in most countries. However, they can look at it to get a hint on what to modify and where to look at in the actual game code, which might be slower but still better than having no source at all.

Kind of tired of seeing consoomers on reddit and other places acting like the game is good except for the story and the bugs, it's not. I beat this game and it's literally the most bland generic open word game I've ever played. I had way more fun with Far Cry 5 and that game was basically just copy pasted assets from four.

Yeah, its basically stealing IP. Unless the company releases it itself. I say just let the modders have it. CD Projekt is obviously incapable.

Its so fucking pathetic. People are so willing to get fucked and not try for anything better. It's sad in a way, like some sort of retarded learned helplessness. Like they're terrified that asking for more will get them called 'entitled' by the media. Consumers should always be asking for more.

Oh Far Cry 5 was way better. It had more guns, more mods for weapons, more interesting missions...its pathetic really.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an extremely mediocre and lackluster game. It is not worth $60 in the least.

I remember one time in Far Cry 5 where I came across some cultists fighting three grizzly bears and suddenly a bunch of my militia friends show up and start firing. The cultists call for backup and so do my militia friends and then in the middle of this giant firefight a cougar shows up and starts mauling people.

I cannot think of a single side quest or world event in Cyberpunk2077 that was as fun or cool as that was. And Ubisoft barely even fucking tried with that game.

Man I love the randomness of Far Cry. In FC4 I was once readying to take over a base scanning enemies from a vantage point when a motherf*cking elephant showed up, stomped every enemy soldiers like they were nothing but ants and then left. The elephant basically took over that base for me, and this wasn't a scripted event since you can reset enemy bases in the game options after the endgame and it never happened again at that exact same base.

Cyberpunk 2077 really does feel fucking lifeless. I think that's what made me just stop. Nothing you did really mattered. Also running around was more efficent than fucking driving, so it got boring quick. And there was absolutely no reason to explore the city.

The Judy romance was OK. But I saw countless ways it could have been better and more dynamic. It just felt like I was Biowaring it, just rolling down a line until I got to the end where nothing matters. I'm tired of romances just basically being pointless once they're ended. Either make them useful in the game, have more story or just don't fucking include them. Or just include fucking one and make it super detailed. 5 shallow romances vs. 1 deep one. The deep one will always win out.

Sometimes. If something is like 400m ingame I'll make it a game to navigate around. Once I got the jump implants (double jump > super jump) the game basically turned into what I wanted from Mirror's Edge Catalyst's freeroam, to have a full city ground and rooftop to parkour around/in.

Hopefully they spin GoG off if things get too bad. There’s stuff on there that I’d rather not have to buy again.
