This. This is the real one. If you can't take some fujo a glance to you, you can't sell very well, Japanese woman very dominant as fujoshi. Hololive very well known enough cuz their talent (ofc it is) and yuribait.

Stop trying to pander exclusively to the fujo audience first of all. Pretty boy himbos are only really attractive to a small subset of women (fujos) and autistic FTMs on twitter (often just fujos who got pozzed into thinking they were trans by the ratking).

If you look at all the male streamers that have substantial female audiences, they generally have one thing in common - a sizeable straight male audience. Roberu and Aruran saw their largest growth when they did content that pandered to the sort of shit straight men can enjoy (MREs, memes, and chadding it up with cute girls during the rare collab streams). I wholeheartedly believe that, with a few exceptions, most forms of entertainment only accrue female followings after an initial male following (probably some kind of sociological phenomenon where women want to fit in or whatever).

So fixing holostars is easy - stop playing host club and have them do cool-ass bro streams. Now whether or not that's possible given how conservative Cover is when it comes to managing its talents is another matter entirely.

At this point, yeah. Their IRL faces are almost all known by this point. The only one I am curious about, now, is Subaru, but not enough to go on some sort of tear through Japanese pages and Twitters to try to figure it out anymore.

As much as I've heard the AV thing about Miko, I've also heard it's a bloody hoax. It also has history to be a hoax too, as even when she was younger, she had a fanbase of antis that would harass her on NND and make up rumors about her. It's a dead rrat in my books. She'd be torn alive if any of this had even the slightest truth to it is another thing. The only erotic thing she's done that's provable is voice work for an eroge.

I'd like to add that miko did practice sacred prostitution as a part of traditional Shinto in Japan. The practice ended at the beginning of the Meiji era. According to the Shinto beliefs prostitution was sacred, and there used to be lodgings for the temple prostitutes on the shrine grounds. So, I guess it is somewhat fitting? I mean, I wouldn't call Sakura Miko the epitome of sacredness, but...

Pikamee is popular enough and have a huge enough following that she can afford to exist and be successful in the indie limbo. She's still growing views and subs, albeit not at the same rate as Holos but definitely way better than her fellow VOMS Monoe and Tomoshika. Her SC revenue alone dwarfs Monoe's and Tomoshika's combined.

No shit. I just looked this up and well, damn. I didn't know that. You learn something new everyday.

EDIT: Ah, yeah, they're supposed to be married to the kami (god) of the shrine, so they're supposed to be virgins on the "wedding night" when they are ordained. After that, it's up in the air. It looks like a type of priest would do the wedding-night "deflowering" in lieu of the deity in the pre-modern era. Yeah, the Meiji Emperor did away with a lot of the stuff that 19th century Europeans thought was "backwards."

Perhaps Miko's kami is the personification of eroge and foul language.

In today's Minecraft stream Kiara seemed to imply that the girls are responsible for their own mod team or lack thereof. If that's also true for JP then it might explain why Coco's having so many issues with chat spam. Another interesting thing to note is that she didn't really seem to consider AO-chan much of a mod.

I dont think this is the case because people has throwed Coco bots to get rid of the bugman but for some reason it has not been implemented, Gura just put Nightbot in her streams and that has killed the spam considerably

i would just ban anyone speaking chinese and call it a day

I agree with this. Personally I can't watch shemale looking VTubers. I'm not familiar with how lucrative the fujoshi market is in Japan, nor am I familiar with how a cool-ass bro approach will work with JP male audience, but barring that they can always try and tap into the kaigai market (which Aruran and Roberu has already done). Only barrier of course, would be lack of translated clips.
