Unpopular opinions about food

I don't like french fries. I've had it from various restaurants and homemade and most of the time it's bland shit. The only one's I've consistently liked are the McDonald's fries
You got to have French fries as crunchy, salty and fresh as possible. Otherwise, they get bland.

Chicken doesn't belong on pizza
I had BBQ chicken pizza. That shit was weird. I do not get having any other sauce on pizza than marinara.

Ketchup makes a great dipping sauce on anything. Honey mustard as well.

What about that ammonia salt they add to some licorice? I'm ok with salted licorice but the ammonia stuff is a no go. Although I personally like coconut filling, covered by licorice, and then chocolate. Sadly it's hard to find here in the US.
They sell that at my local corner shop, PM me your address and I'll send you some if they have any in stock.

I can find them at world market, but sometimes the ones I go to are out or they don't sell them. Other than world market, they're none existent in my area of the US. Thank you for the offer, but it's just candy so it's not really a big deal if I don't have it.

Fruit in chocolate or fruit cake or raisin and not chocolate chip is all wrong.

If I wanted something healthy and like fruit - I'd ask for fruit. Fruit cake is not how I pretend to get my healthy stuff in.

Damn, my doxing attempt failed.

Buttercream frosting is too sweet and too heavy. Whipped cream frosting is infinitely better.

Do give german buttercream a try. I'm usually more of a fan of whipped toppings too, but german buttercream made a believer out of me. It's still heavy, but it's not so sickly.

It's not healthy. Don't worry. It's delicious.

Reubens are awful only because of the thousand island dressing. Give me some good old whole grain mustard on that baby, instead. Same with Big Macs. If I want ketchup, mayo, and pickles on something, I don't need them all combined into one gross sauce. In fact, thousand island dressing ruins everything it touches.
They're really supposed to have Russian dressing which is similar but not the same.

You had me fucked up for a second, the only Russian dressing I'd seen is what turns out to be "red Russian dressing," which seems to be some kind of borscht vinaigrette

That's super different stuff. Russian dressing (which I don't even think is actually Russian) for a Reuben is ketchup and mayonnaise based like Thousand Islands but also has horseradish and doesn't have pickles.

I never had it, but, judging by bafflement of many locals who did, it is, indeed, not russian.
We just consume mayo, horseradish or smetana here, no fancy mixings applied. Mixing ketchup into mayo is something my mom is fond of doing, tho...

That's very European I think, mixing ketchup and mayo together. We don't do that in the US, but I know many Europeans who do. A lot of sauces or salad dressings here are named after places.

Yeah I like reubens but I can take or leave the dressing and tend to prefer alternatives to Thousand Island/Russian. I'm not fond of either ketchup or mayo really. Mayo has its uses, but nearly anything is better than ketchup to me.

You can make many similar kinds of sandwich with the general formula of a deli meat, some kind of cabbage, cheese, and some kind of dressing grilled in rye/pumpernickel/some non-white bread. I've used Catalina or red Russian dressing too (I got the latter accidentally and decided to use it anyway and it worked fine).
