He has four years (I think) before his Shifter AIDS kill him. That said, I would not put it past Isayama to change the rules at the last second so the Cringevengers win.
Traveling in PATHs hyper-accelerated his death timer. Kinda like what happened with Luther’s superpowers in All-Star Superman.

I haven't been following the manga, just the first 3 seasons and this, and a few other threads elsewhere but I'd say the easiest means of hack writing Eren dying this way would to make it so that each Titan form he took on accelerated it, so if he has 3 forms then he is dying at 3x the pace or even have it be exponential and make it whatever number he thinks makes sense, but now I've probably put more thought into this idea then it is worth as really this doesn't seem terrible enough of a way to end it

Actually Eldia lost because of a plague, they split apart and then Marley pushed their shit in. They decided to retreat to Paradis and King Cuck built the walls and then brainwashed everyone to forget what happened because he thought it would save his people from further atrocity. When it didn't, he just fully cucked out and decided to fucking starve them, torture them and slowly murder them because its 'what they deserved'.

The peace deal fucking sucked, which is why King Cuck is the worst character in the series because if he just nutted up and said, "If you don't leave our island alone, we're going to fucking wreck your shit again." He was self hating and deserved a more painful death.

Again, they're caricatures. What have the Eldians done in 200 years? Nothing. Sit in the walls. If King Cuck let them have their fucking memories maybe nobody would try to go out there. Instead Marley treats it as a concentration camp and constant punishment for a war they lost like 400 years ago. At some point you just gotta go, "Bro, just let them have the island and blockade it." The don't act like rational human beings. Why should I feel compassion? Its part of the reason people got behind Eren's retarded genocide idea, because the story just makes it the only conclusion possible. Eren still could have taken his time, done tactical strikes, worked it out with the scouts, and reduced the world's level of technology to below Paradis'. They could have stolen the world's tech. Then went, "We're not going to conquer you, but stay the fuck off our island or we'll come back and burn you to cinders." A story leading to pure genocide of humans, which we can understand, doesn't strike me as realistic. Isayama had to make the people of the world like they were in order to force it. It suspends my disbelief because rational humans don't act like that.

There is no rational basis for the extreme hatred and persecutions, there just isn't, unless you had another titan like the founder just brainwashing the populace to hate Paradis. People have been mortal enemies, killing each other and putting them in camps and 50 years later their shaking hands. Here they've been torturing, starving and killing Eldians for centuries. There's not a rational basis for this.

Something I wanted to bring up in this portion here since I'm not sure if ZDD did or not, because you two are wordy as fuck on this topic (no offense intended) and I forget half of what one of you wrote partway through the next post.

The fear of Eldians isn't irrational. King Cuck's biggest mistake was not telling Marley, "Give me back my Titans, or I will bring this army of colossal titans I am about to build my walls with across this strait and fuck your shit up.". So while Paradis has been isolated, Marley has been using Eldians like WMDs on their neighbors for 200 years. The entire world has been ramping up their military tech to protect themselves from Marley's war mongering, which prompted Marley to send their sentient Titans to Paradis to get the founding titan.

At least that is what I remembered. I dropped AOT awhile ago because it got pretty unfun to read.

Man, Connie in general looks like he's seen some shit. I mean, he HAS, but that shot really looks like he's having a fullblown 'Nam flashback there.

Nigga's hurtin'. ESPECIALLY since he saw best girl die on his arms.
Jean, Connie, the dangling fatfuck and the rest of them were responsible for getting Sasha killed as they all were celebrating except Sasha while still over the city. FFS they barely crossed the street and only Sasha was still doing her job as overwatch before being yanked away and nobody covered her position or remembered fatfuck was still dangling outside.

I genuinely have no idea how any other country could really exist when Marley could have just conquered the planet...wait how the fuck did the Eldian's even lose??? I get that titans are not invincible, but even with "modern" WW1 level tech (which did not seem to be the norm as the Eldians behind the walls only had access to what looked like very primitive steam power and fucking 18th century cannons and I assume that was the tech level when they escaped) the titans seem to absolutely crush with huge K/D ratios.

The Eldians lost because King Cuck abandoned them all and the family that had the warhammer titan teamed up with Marley to BTFO the other titans to take them for themselves especially with the other titan shifters to busy fighting each other in their own political squabbles. The other titans were taken by Marley (only losing the Attack Titan at some point)

The Eldians behind the walls were purposefully hindered technologically by the King when their memories were erased and the Government literally has a systematic rule for no one to see the outside world and kill those with those thoughts. They only got better at killing titans after Eren's titan shifting powers gave extra firepower, and the fact that the original government that killed those wanting to see the outside world had been overthrown both by Eren's dad stealing the attack titan and Erwin arranging with a military coup with top brass. The overthrow actually led to weapons like the thunder spears to be in use.

With the rest of the world they had better resources and knowledge on how the titans worked as unlike the Eldians they weren't mindwiped to forget their history and only recently began developing anti-titan weapons to compete against Marley which after the failure to get the Founding Titan literally lost two of their most important assets (The Colossal Titan and Female Titan) so Marley had to be crippled for the rest of the world to even stand a chance against them.

I should have clarified, I know all that. I was asking how could Eldia ACTUALLY ever lose besides writer nonsense that makes no sense. Because turning one titan doesn't really stop the others from teaming up and winning and the technology AT THE TIME they hid behind the walls was probably the peak technology Marley processed, which does dick all against titans.

I literally explained the others didn't bother to team up because of petty political squabbles that everyone else took advantage of, and even then the War Hammer Titan is one of the most overpowered titans in the series since it is capable of long distance attacks.

I mean...that's still stupid writer nonsense. political squabbling is not a good explanation for why no one came together when an outside nation threatens to wipe you out. Its also still only one titan, regardless of how OP it is.

I mean, out of all the problems with the manga, why the Eldians lost is kinda like the least of them, really. Yeah it doesn't make much sense at how a 'plague' and factionalization makes them lose when they have building sized death machines. It could have been handled better. And King Cuck never would have asked for all the titans back because he wanted all the Eldians to die 'peacefully' (IE: A slow, torturous death through fear, starvation and classisim). King Cuck is the biggest monster in the whole series.

Welcome to the current state of AoT. I'm sorry, but stupid writer nonsense is the best you're gonna get.

What a mess. I was already out of following it once I realised that pretty much everyone in the main cast gets to magically be a Titan. Once that happened they could've been BeyBladez or Mighty Morphin' Titan Rangers for all I cared - so stupid and contrived.

Reading this synopsis, though? It's several orders of magnitude worse than I envisioned.

And Isayama had to go out of his way to destroy even that with Sasha's death, and the sudden introduction of Niccolo.
I did think the "she was like a sister to me" thing was out of the left field but I actually liked Nicholo. It was funny seeing him get all flustered when Sasha liked his food but I especially liked when he beat Gabi up a flight of stairs. UP a flight of stairs go reread it the door she gets punched through is the one that was up the stairs to the side. That's honest to god what happened.

I was more invested in like 10 pages of Niccolo/Sasha than I was in literally every page involving Gabi and Falco. I wish the story had just progressed with Niccolo, Yelena, and Oyankopon helping Marley, showing the changes happening on Paradis, like the idea of cooperating with Zeke decisively handled, the extermination of the rest of the mindless titans, Hange having to actually be a leader who makes real decisions, a resolution to whatever the fuck the Historia plot is supposed to be (at least give her farmer baby daddy a name), maybe Paradis being globally proactive in any way, and then moved into Grim Reminder 2, instead of subjecting us to the lazy Eren/Reiner/Mikasa/Armin retread that was the Gabi/Falco plot and having Willy Tybur whipping the world up into a frenzy against an island that hadn't done anything in 100+ years. It might have been a little thin in terms of action, but Isayama could have done an episode of Eren+Armin+the SC fighting off a full-blown Marleyan expeditionary force or something.

Yeah you could even truncate the Marley arc and slap it on right before grim reminder 2.0 to get the point across if written tightly enough. The original introduction to Eren, his friends and family, and the impetus for his revenge were all in a single extra length chapter. Maybe 2.5 to 3 standard chapters long? Even if untruncated I would have preferred to experience this all linearly and to get more of the pre-grim reminder 2 Paradis stuff. That was way more interesting like you said. The Survey Corps should have introduced the reader to the outside world first, not just flip over to what the other guys are doing right away and then we get filled in on Paradis via glimpses in flashbacks afterwards.

I'm not that familiar with the series (I dropped out of the anime after two episodes), and based on this thread, let me just say: Thank Jesus I didn't get invested in this trainwreck!

Still, even as an outsider, I feel like the point where the series appeared to have jumped the shark was when Gabi killed Sasha. From what little I know of her (again, I bailed before she was even introduced), she was one of the main human elements of the series. What I'm hearing from you guys is that this element is now gone, replaced with a bunch of random bullshit. Thus, when Ishiyama killed off Sasha as a cheap "fuck you, we need more drama" move (and to prop up the unlikable bitch who killed her), the human element died with her.

But again, I don't know jack about Asscrack on Titan, so feel free to take my words with a grain of salt.

Isayama actually always wanted Sasha dead. She was actually supposed to die I think when she saved that kid with her archery skills? But her death was so gruesome it made a female editor cry so he held off on it. But he always planned to kill Sasha. Reiner he just tortures constantly for seemingly no real reason. I think the poster said that Reiner was someone in Isayama's life that he hated was dead on.

The story jumped the shark with the timeskip and the idiotic World War. Honestly, the story was dead for me the second it switched to that genre and I've been laughing ever since. Its just gotten so terrible.
