Bro, while yes it's muscle memory in OG FF7, it kept the same button inputs and it was Squats. No the Pull Ups minigame has to change rotation part way in and every 5 sets makes you button mash at the start of the 6th to speed up. It's mad whack. In the original there were no button indicators, you just had to go by your muscle memory and janky animations of small models on the screen. I haven't played FF7R yet though.
Nah, so on 5ch and Futaba there was and probably still is a bit of hate towards Kanata as a leech on Coco. That's why Coco held the Roast Marshmallow Q&A was to publicly give Kanata to courage to call out and dispel that shit. Nah, if 4th gen manager said anything it was prob one they got fired anyways. I've heard 4th gen's gone through a few managers. Kanata was always the anti-bait for 4th gen and that shit weighed on her for a while. Seems to still do to an extent, but not because of the antis anymore, but because Kanata wants to make sure sje matches up.Not going to lie, but that really hit me where I live. But it is a really cool look behind the scenes for a second. The 'people told me. . .' part stuck out like a sore thumb. Management probably, but it is something a bit that kind soured the message a bit.
YT is too big now, been 16 years, without some good marketing and money for ads you have to grind hard and even then I seen a lot of channels with incredible talent that hardly break the 100k subs barrier even after years of posting good contentAll-time. But as mentioned, the oldest channel among them has been just short of 3 years...so napkin math with a bunch of assumptions because I'm a lazy fuck comes out to 2.33 Million Per year.
I won't deny that being backed by a larger production company is a pretty big factor, but outside of being backed by a production company, it's just like any content creation, a bunch of grinding, learning lessons along the way, and for a bunch of people you either make good connections, or you have something go viral and you capitalize on it if you're good enough.
Vtubing is more or less just a more expensive version of streaming, when it gets down to it.
A couple indies are on their climb, Ririsya and Amatsuka Uto are two people who I can think of right now that are more-or-less independent, though they are Japanese, and some people might want to start arguments whether Uto is independent. Futakuchi Mana is an independent I'm pretty sure, and clearly an English-first streamer, but I only discovered her today after someone here posted a bunch of clips, looking at her channel she's only been at it a month and has 50k youtube subs.
Sorry but what is SC?Kiryu Coco debuted at the end of 2019, before Hololive's huge break and by August, 1 month before the debut of HoloEN, she made 800k USD in SC
Considering the relatively low "operating costs" of vtubers and the fact that some even do it as a second job I would say that's pretty damn big.
For indies well one of the most superchatted is Kagura Mea, who got 120k USD this year, so being backed by a company obviously brings in quite a bit, but I doubt many indies are vtubing as their only source of income
The first time I saw shindol was with that gender-bender comic series that also got an animation, and even then I thought his style was gross. Asanagi's maledom stuff is tolerable but the snuff/guro shit is over the top for me. But my point is that the guy is good at this, he could've gone into regular manga and make more money but I guess he likes drawing girls without limbs getting raped, whateverAsanagi has his niche and there's a reason he popular, he's really good at what market he corner. Shindol however, seemingly only got his clout from metamorphosis.
Doesn't Hololive also pay their talent? Like actual salary? I don't know about Nijisanji or other companies but obviously this side gig pay really well when you got a corpo behind you.
Call me a commie but it sounds these girls should get a union or somethingSo...
• YT 30% - HL 35% - chuuba 35%
• YT 30% - HL 50% - chuuba 20%
which one is it?
It does, which is why I'm still stuck in my country despite having the papers to leaveit must suck to leave any country and your friends.
This is the true of hololive face dox. Yes. I aprobb. The most comprehensive hololive face dox on youtube
Holostar....Are there any male vtubers? not saying dudes posing as anime girls since I heard there were a few who got outed, but the character itself being a dude too
Sorry I meant western onesHolostar....
Half of Nijisanji....
is on purpose they look like that, and western i dont remember anyone unless you want to count that unfunny tranny sharkAnd those Nijisanji guys really look gay, not gay as the joke but as they are actually gay, but then again anime male character design only gets more androgynous every year
There was an attempt to use streamlabs by Hololive, and we all know it was Coco who pushed hard for it. The plan almost come into fruition too, with the official advertisement for it came out.Call me a commie but it sounds these girls should get a union or something
Also cant they do the superchat in a separate site and just use youtube for video hosting? that way they dont have to pay that 30% for the tips right? or you mean for the ads?
Indonesia uses it, but for other reasons, the joys of being guinea pig branchThen it was never mention ever again. My personal rrat is that they want to avoid getting YT angry at them for not giving them a cut while using their platform (think Fortnite vs. Apple and Google). Cover wasn't as big as there are now and probably realize they need YT massive audience to grow, and choose not to disturb the sleeping fat pig.
Upfront costs and people seemingly afraid to get started or wanting to gift their way through the startup costs. For reference, I recently spoke to a few artists, and you're looking at over $500 for a rigged half-body live2d avatar, over a thousand for a full body one, and thousands and a long wait to commission a good artist and good rigger. And yeah the operating costs are a joke which is why I'm surprised there arent more indies, guess these girls cant figure out the tech aspects? or handle the marketing themselves?
Indie scene has a few - Merryweather and Takahata are two examples that come to mindSorry I meant western ones
I dunno, Belmond and Bonnivier look pretty butch to me.Sorry I meant western ones
And those Nijisanji guys really look gay, not gay as the joke but as they are actually gay, but then again anime male character design only gets more androgynous every year
It's a steep cut, but fair enough considering the talent get consistent salary and a free iphone 10 for what, less than 10 hours a week work on average? Most talent consider Hololive a side gig anyway, and usually have another job to pay the bills, so for a part-time job it really ain't too shabby to get half of the supas on top of said paycheck. We also need to consider that for foreign talents like ID and half of EN, their salary may still be paid with Yen, which afaik stronger than both Rp and US$.Call me a commie but it sounds these girls should get a union or something

What about twitch? what % they take? There was an attempt to use streamlabs by Hololive, and we all know it was Coco who pushed hard for it. The plan almost come into fruition too, with the official advertisement for it came out.

Also noted that for Indonesia Hololive talents, they are using Streamlabs just fine because the local law don't allow SuperChat in the first place.
How about just taking an existing model and modifying it? its what roosterteeth did with rwby or whatever, they literally took MMD models and recolored them, donut steel styleUpfront costs and people seemingly afraid to get started or wanting to gift their way through the startup costs. You mean western fujoshis?I dunno, Belmond and Bonnivier look pretty butch to me.
I wonder if fujoshis would dig the american meathead look, now that Kuzuha has the whole yaoi thing covered full.
Superchats. YouTube donations.Sorry but what is SC?
For 3d? Everything's cheaper 3d, especially on the low end. Hell, you can do it yourself on the cheap if you put in some time to learn VRoid Studio, though no idea how complicated it is to get more than facetracking done through it.How about just taking an existing model and modifying it? its what roosterteeth did with rwby or whatever, they literally took MMD models and recolored them, donut steel style
Superchats are also very very convenient and easy to use. Try getting a massive audience to actually read the description to go to the link for stream labs, type in a name, amount, the message and press send. Also, while I think censorship is retarded, YouTube does block some yabai gamer words that could possibly get them banned as it appears on stream and correct me someone but I don’t think stream labs censors or it’s a lot easier to get around it. I know in reality stream labs is easy to use but don’t underestimate people’s stupidity of having to read the description. It’s already hard enough for people to read the rules in the description. Also cant they do the superchat in a separate site and just use youtube for video hosting? that way they dont have to pay that 30% for the tips right? or you mean for the ads?
Twitch uses stream labs. YouTube has a way bigger audience by far. Also not many Japanese people used twitch hence why they started on YouTube. Twitch is also way more bitchy than YouTube when it comes to retarded reasons to ban someone. I bet that Miko, Rushia and Korone would’ve been banned or partially suspended when they said nigga when playing gta V.What about twitch? what % they take?
From what I heard, EN and ID branch has the talent cuts much higher than JP branch to compensate for several things, like that they very likely won't going to have 3D models for accommodation reasons. We also need to consider that for foreign talents like ID and half of EN, their salary may still be paid with Yen, which afaik stronger than both Rp and US$
Possible, there are people that even have modified team fortress model for itHow about just taking an existing model and modifying it? its what roosterteeth did with rwby or whatever, they literally took MMD models and recolored them, donut steel style
