Community Tard Baby General (includes brain dead kids) - Fundies and their genetic Fuckups; Parents of corpses in denial

Yep, I agree about the UAC (umbilical artery catheter). If they had reason to believe a baby would need quick access, they sometimes even placed them in the delivery room.

My hospital had a Level II NICU and could theoretically handle any baby that didn't need mechanical ventilation, but if it looked like they would be there more than a few hours, most of the time they were sent to a hospital that had higher-level care, usually by air but sometimes by ground if the baby's condition wasn't ultra-critical.

It's not related to tard babies per se, but my state is also an abstinence only ed state. I think any other Kiwis from abstinence only states can back me up when I say it just increases shit like teen pregnancy when kids aren't even being taught how to use a condom.
Ohio is in 18th place in terms of teen pregnancy rates. The state doesn't have any standards for teaching health, so it depends on your district. More conservative areas will focus on abstinence, I assume. Not sure about them city slickers.

I might not know much about pregnancy and pregnancy loss, but I'm pretty sure the first thought of most women who miscarry at 12 weeks isn't to take pics for a prolife propaganda site

Was that the Japanese case where they used some kind of tree resin to cover the organs? I remember it was posted in this thread a while back and the report on it said the kid was still constantly fighting infections and shit.

Is the kid still alive or did it pass recently?
Passed in the case study from an infection.

Do any of these people at least donate their dead baby’s organs? Maybe it was God’s plan for your brainless baby to save the lives of other babies.
I think it varies depending on the diagnosis.

Even if the organs cannot be donated for transplant reasons, it can still be donated for research reasons including tissue donations. At 28 weeks, a baby can only donate tissue for research. Organ donation for transplant begins at 36 weeks.

I’m talking about the ones that were carried to term and only lived like five seconds.

You would think so, but I haven’t seen that in this thread at least. They’re so damn caught up in taking pictures for FB and buying tiny baby coffins I guess they don’t consider it.

A few years back there was a girl in my state who carried an anencephaly baby to term. She actually did donate the organs. So some of them do.

I don’t know a huge amount about organ donation, but there are lots of criteria to fulfil. Even anencephaly babies whose parents want to donate organs might not be suitable due to being too small (there was a U.K. documentary that followed a mother of twins who wanted to donate the doomed twin’s organs. He was too small so it was a no go).

I’m also pretty sure that a baby who dies shortly after birth cannot donate. I think the body has to be “alive” and on life support before organs can be harvested.

Oh I should have said was GOING TO die shortly after birth.

I don’t know if any of the parents featured here would even consider organ donation. Like their babies are too precious for that.

I think I've seen a few that mention organ/tissue donation but most of the dead baby parents I find don't say anything about it. I know there are tons of regulations for it so even someone who wants to do it might not be able, but I get the feeling a lot of these parents wouldn't be the type to want anyone to dare touch their precious miracles. Plus I know there is some overlap with fundies and conspiracy theorists, so I wouldn't be surprised if a few think organ/tissue donation is some kind of satanic conspiracy theory or some shit.

Hell, some pages back I think I posted a review from the embryo coffin site where a woman was butthurt the doctor wanted to keep her miscarriage tissue for testing instead of giving it to her so she could hold an embryo funeral.

Also I totally thought Tinslee was white until I saw that picture.
See? Pro-lifers care about black babies too!;)

I wonder what the A&H crowd would think of it?
They'd deal with it the same way they deal with any other information that goes against their beliefs: write it off as Fake News.

Yeah I think that essay has actually been posted since in various threads including Abortion Sperging and they just ignored it. I think my favorite anecdote in the essay is the old white women taking her black maid for an abortion (I'm presuming her husband knocked up the Help) and then passing out anti-abortion leaflets in the waiting room. It's almost over the top but I can actually see fundies doing shit like that.

Another T13 kid

Is Jesus the reason she's lived 2 years, or is it modern medicine and dumb luck? Also it sounds like she's coded a bit and with what @The Lurkness Monster said happens when fucked up babies are revived that's kind of horrifying :(

EDIT: have a frog baby too

There's something darkly humorous about having #compatiblewithlife on a pic of a dead baby. I guess this also confirms anencephaly.info isn't a neutral info site and is run by prolifers who want people to carry brainless fetuses to term.

They outright discouraged us from using condoms because they're supposedly so ineffective. They intended the message to be "Condoms don't work ever so don't have sex at all" but instead kids heard "Condoms don't work ever so don't bother when you do have sex."

It wasn't even taught by the normal health teacher anyways. It was always two women who came in once a week on Fridays who taught sex-ed. Who were from an outside agency contracted by the district and I don't even think were actual teachers.

Yeah we got told the same thing at my schools too, they even told us condoms don't protect against HIV. It wasn't once a week but rather a week or two unit of the semester, but they did the same thing with having random speakers come in who I'm not sure had any credentials.

I remember one also telling us that sex hurt, and then bragging that she can get sex any time she wants because she's married and that's the reward you get for waiting til marriage. Even as a dumb 13 year old I remember wondering why you'd want sex so much if it hurt.

I wonder who those speakers actually are, I'm assuming they're random fundies hired by the school district.

Many years ago, I worked with a woman (who has since died herself) who had a mid-trimester miscarriage, and the baby was so perfectly formed, they wanted to put it on display at a medical school. Of course she and her husband said yes! Most people to whom I've told this story have been horrified, but I wasn't. How could somebody NOT do that?

Just think of all the students who have learned from that baby over the years.

That I can understand more than dead baby fashion shows or embryo coffins. At least that's using a tragedy to help others. Plus unlike sending dead fetus pics to a prolife propaganda site, at least people are actually being taught accurate info at medical school.

I feel like carrying an anencephaly fetus to term specifically for organ or tissue donation is different than doing it just because you think aborting brainless fetuses makes Jesus cry and you want to show all the other fundies on the internet how life-affirming and godly you are. Some of these chicks definitely seem more than a little performative with how they flog their tard baby stories.

I guess having a dead potato baby is like the fundie version of being a fat black bipoc trans woman or something. Because it definitely seems like it gets you clout amongst fundies.

Imagine the horror of being a small child raised in a fundie household, you definitely would not understand anything about sex, anatomy or reproduction, then imagine the horror if being forced to pose next to a dead, malformed fetus, or embryonic miscarriage for photographs and being told this thing you don't understand is your beautiful, angelic, sibling and that it's a gift from god! I kinda get the parents wanting photos of their dead baby/fetus to remember that this thing they consider a person existed and while inside the mom was wanted and loved, but I am totally against showing these thing to small children. Just photograph your fetus and move on, you can show your kids the photos and explain when they are old enough to understand what the he'll is going on.

In Florida any time a baby in the NICU passed away, no matter what the cause, we had to notify the organ/tissue. donation bank ( the parents were not even aware, I guess if there was anything they thought suitable for a transplant, they would approach the parents). Never once did they use any organs or tissue from any of the babies that died, there just is not anything healthy enough to use when a baby is born sick or extremely premature. Blood samples are sent out to a genetic doctor and pathology. So there may be answers as to genetic defects, but many times the parents don't want to know, they would rather believe everything is ok and then try again, the ones who did want to know were better prepared as to future pregnancy risks and early testing
