He didn't vote so his chat should spam "You can't complain because you ddin't vote" every time he bitches about politics.Reminder that Phil will not waddle outside to vote in a presidential election but is currently lecturing his audience in his stream to his viewers about nominations and voting for viewers choice event.
Talking about how "the power is in your hands" with regards to viewers choice, but hasn't he on multiple occasions rejected the viewers actually choice in favour of another game on the list?
I had forgotten it, but that was Sekiro too. The boss practically calls him out with "Your sword can't pierce my armor, how can you not understand?" Then gives another hint by saying "I cannot fall," before finally explicitly "Trying to topple me off the edge?!"I don't recall if it was Nioh or not, but I think the highlight of him fighting a boss and getting stuck had to be the boss literally telling him to not kick his armor before he figured out you're supposed to kick his armor.
He defies the rules of the game! I beat him, I staggered him, I did deathblow, he didn't die. So how is that fair? Apparuhly he doesn't deathblow. (snake laugh)
People are like "The game's not a puzzle," yes it is, the whole game's a puzzle. So I did exactly what you're supposed to do, per the rules of the game, to win. The game says "Oh, we changed the rules, that doesn't work." Oh, great. That's fun.
I looked it up in the Oxford's Advanced Learner's Pigroach-English Dictionary.Phil called Bowser in Super Mario 64 a puzzle boss. I don't even know what he means by it at this stage.
This really needs to be in the DSPisms thread cos I've never seen a better summary of what makes a boss a puzzle boss in Phil's pickled brain.I looked it up in the Oxford's Advanced Learner's Pigroach-English Dictionary.
Regular bahs = Same as a regular enemy, only bigger, does more damage and has more health
Pahzzl bahs = Any boss which requires Dave to bang 2 braincells together to beat it, even if it's as simple as a boss basically being a test for a certain game mechanic. For example let's say that a game introduces a parry mechanic and right after it is a boss that is clearly easy to parry. Also, any boss that has an unorthodox attack pattern.
Hows the gout Phil?Someone asked why he was so rude to the guy who tipped overnight and Phil said he was just honest, and the person cheering must be a special little snowflake. He then gave a mock apology to the 'snowflake'.
Yeah I think it was probably Che though he denied it.I thought Sammy Samosa was a made up person. A sock puppet created by the Sons of Kojima.
As Phil's biggest fan and the SOK's biggest hater, wouldn't he have celebrated the fall of the SOK? Instead he disappeared, never to be heard from again.
I've been thinking about this while watching some of his Mega Man Zero gameplay. His first approach seems to always be the classic bum rush, thinking he can engage bosses in a damage race and win (and sometimes it works: if he plays on easy mode, chat tells him about exploits or he grinds). I think he's stuck in a fighting game mindset, where the other "player" should have to adjust to him - if he plays aggressively, they should have to play defensively because they're on even footing. That's what he thinks of as fair, and even the slightest bit of asymmetry becomes a "puzzle".Phil called Bowser in Super Mario 64 a puzzle boss. I don't even know what he means by it at this stage.
