Kelsey Grammer to return as Frasier in reboot of hit comedy - Actor is ‘gleefully anticipating’ the return of the comedy, which is being rebooted after 17 years

This just seems like it's going to turn out like that Roseanne reboot, a nice nostalgic kick at first that will slowly lose my interest until the point I just forget about it and I can't be arsed starting up again.

Last I watched The Connors Becky was up the duff from some saintly border jumper and Dan compromised his integrity regarding hiring practices and his workforce were incensed about it yet they were treated as villains.

Darlene was doing something too, I can't remember what, all I know is her kids were unbearable.

"What's wrong, Fraiser?"
"Well, Niles, Freddy is currently living in this place called The CHAZ."

'Hmm, you think you have problems, David keeps stealing Daphne's dresses'
'Oooh I got them from me Nanna Mooooon! 'E tore a roight 'ole in t'gussett, did arrr David!'

But he's probably Broke so he will do whatever it takes for that sweet sweet paycheck.
He's been working fairly regularly and doing some producing as well. I very much doubt he's hurting for money.

From the sounds of it, he'll be somewhere new and the old cast might cameo the same way the Cheers cast cameod on Frasier. I don't know how it ended so I don't know if they have to retcon the finale like most of the other reboots had to, but honestly none of the comedies should have been brought back. I can't think of one that really added anything to the previously beloved show that was needed, and they all seemed to take a political angle that made them dated instantly. Maybe Mad About You didn't, but who knows because no one even remembers it got a revival. Hell, I'm betting the new Punky Brewster is going to have a woke angle, and that was an abominable kid sitcom that I feel bad for every adult who had to watch because their kid loved it.

Frasier was never about politics - it was much more about farce, and it could be incredibly good at that. But I can't think of any of these shows, especially sitcoms, that need resurrecting.

I can see that arc. The woke talk about social workers instead of cops.

Niles & Frasier head to CHAZ to advise Freddy. They realize soon upon arrival that Freddy has been recruited alongside Phil to man the snack van. Frasier is feeling peckish so he maneuvers to where his son and his obviously mentally-disturbed new friend are working for the cause.

Frasier: Hey fellas, hi Freddy, what are you boys doing here?
Phil: *Bounce, squeak*
Freddy: I renounce my Judaism! By the way Dad, you could really be helpful in conflict de-escalation! Maybe you can give assistance, see what the movement is all about!
Phil: *pulls balaclava up over tardface, munches cheese, nods in agreement*

Misc. Antifa Doofus: "Halp! I've been victimized! My Apple computer has been stolen from my tent!"
Frasier: "Go ahead, I'm listening" *wipes dirty park bench and perches precariously on the edge*

The entire camp, having given full attention to their distraught comrade, spontaneously break out in song: "Feelin' sad, feelin' mad, feelin' glad, feelin' bad, I'm listening!!"

A hailstorm of bullets break the joviality and everyone is brutally murdered, the end.

It ended with Frasier initially taking a TV job in San Francisco, but the final scene is him getting off a plane to Chicago chasing after yet another doomed relationship.

Was that with Laura Linney? I vaguely remember her or someone like her was playing his girlfriend for a bit.

Why on earth would you even want to do a sitcom in this day and age? Sitcoms haven't been relevant or particularly good since the end of the 90s.

Well we're due for a renaissance of good ones. Hopefully. Anything's better than The Neighborhood, The Goldbergs, Young Sheldon, Bob Hearts aba... whatever her name is and every show that ends with an -ish.
