This hollow shell of a human being probably only became a Star Wars fan because Disney bought the IP.

Until this thread existed, I had no idea people were obsessed with those things to that extent. The consumerism in the custom mechanical keyboard community is out of control. They spend hundreds of dollars on expensive keycaps, switches, and cables, and see their keyboards as flashy decorations they hoard more and more of, not tools they use every day. And then there's the social pressure to keep consooming in the community because of limited run keycaps and switches. You'll see these keyboard enthusiasts talking about how they had to get in on a group buy for new keycaps just because of FOMO (fear of missing out). And when they buy new keycaps, oops might as well buy new everything else to make another board.
Really? Seriously? That's awful. The star wars guy recorded the video during his honeymoon.
He and the wife had separate beds.
I don't there is anything else to add.
I'd argue the tards who go out and blow 1000+ bucks on the newest smartphones kind of fall into this category.Until this thread existed, I had no idea people were obsessed with those things to that extent.
I'll probably regret asking this, but what else has a fanatical consoomerist following?

I really wasn't joking earlier in the thread with horse/animal dildo collections. They have some serious collectors, there's even a trader/second hand market for them.Until this thread existed, I had no idea people were obsessed with those things to that extent.

How big is the overlap between Elon Musk fanboys and Tesla owners, because my impression of the average Elon Musk fanboy is that they're too poor to own a Tesla. That reminds me of the Tesla fanboys, who go so far as to worshipping Elon Musk like he's Jesus Christ or something, and completely overlook any of the flaws that Tesla cars have, i.e. the minimalistic interiors, questionable build quality of the cars themselves, and the things that go wrong with them, i.e. what if the giant ass touchscreen fails?
NO! BOIL THE BLEACH YOU DEGENERATES!I really wasn't joking earlier in the thread with horse/animal dildo collections. They have some serious collectors, there's even a trader/second hand market for them.

Er, no. A collector could be collecting things for different reasons. They don't just CONSOOM for the sake of consuming. Some of these guys could be collecting antique toys and other things like old comic books that aren't being sold anymore and therefore have almost nothing to do with the consumption machine pushing down worthless crap down people's throats. You are a coonsumer the moment you become a collector, it's just an autistic phrase for a word that already existed.
So goong into debt for hoarding overpriced old shit is different than going i to debt for overpriced new shit? Thats missing the point pretty hard. Collectors are all by default hoarders and peak consoomer.Er, no. A collector could be collecting things for different reasons. They don't just CONSOOM for the sake of consuming. What makes you think all collectors just blindly go into debt over their hobby? For that matter, what's wrong with collecting? Sometimes, it's fun. Also sometimes, people actually preserve interesting cultural material. Put another way, there's nothing wrong with having your own private museum or library. Sure, there's people who go overboard like some of the people featured in this thread but that's not every collector. So goong into debt for hoarding overpriced old shit is different than going i to debt for overpriced new shit? Not really. CONSOOMERS usually follow a trend and collect things while they're hot and new. Collectors usually slowly buy up old shit when they can afford it. There's a difference. One is following a trend, the other is doing it for their own personal enjoyment regardless of trends happening around him.So goong into debt for hoarding overpriced old shit is different than going i to debt for overpriced new shit? This image would be perfect if only he had muscles.
It doesn't matter what you collect. When you collect you are buying for no purpose just for the sake of owning product. It peak consoomerStalin used anti-semitic propaganda against the Old Bolsheviks, whom he eradicated, and he was rather chipper with Hitler and got along well with him until Hitler stabbed him in the back during Operation Barbarossa.
Also, be practical. What use are SJWs, CONSOOMERS, and people who subvert society once the revolution has taken place and a new Communist state has come into being? None. The new order won't want subversion, they'll want order to be restored. That's why all those Old Bolsheviks were eradicated instead of being treated like the Soviet versions of George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. Instead of a quiet retirement in some manor house where they are tended to by followers and peasants, they were thrown in the gulags, while all the low-class punks and gun nuts were used by the Soviet state to do the persecuting.
The difference is "Cletus the Redneck" knows more about using a gun and farming than most SJWs and Antifa punks do. Which means that to the American Communist state, he'll be more useful than the Antifa punks who will riot the moment they realize that their perfect utopia isn't coming. So not only would the American Communist state not have any use for Antifa punks, they will have an active reason to shoot said punks once said punks start rioting because they don't have their perfect utopia.
So yeah, all the leftist CONSOOMERS are probably gonna be forced to "share their wealth" since their large funko pop collections would tell the new regime that they've got wealth to spare.

Everything you just said can be said to justify all consooming. What makes you think Funko enthusiasts are going into debt for the hobby eh? So no one should collect anything ever? You don't want anyone to have their own private museums or libraries dedicated to their interests? It doesn't matter what you collect. When you collect you are buying for no purpose just for the sake of owning product. It peak consoomer

I think this meme always features people throwing matches at others when their own ass is made of straw.
"Nooo if you don't make the meme face it doesn't count nooo it only applies to people who hoard stuff i don't hoard"
How do you know it's just for the sake of owning products? What if they want to play with their collection or pass it down to their kids? I know my collection of video games are going to my kids and their kids when I kick the bucket. It doesn't matter what you collect. That's right. It can also be that you actually appreciate the activity or field of interest. Just liking it doesn't mean you must or feel the need to buy everything related to that topic. Everyone's collection is different. Everyone has their own standards and motives for collecting whatever it is they collect. How do you know it's just for the sake of owning products? There's even a tranny keyboard. I wonder how much this person spent on keycaps alone for that shit.
On one hand, I see your point. It seems crazy to constantly spend money on something like that just to say you have every possible keyboard design. You've got to draw the line somewhere and not be impulsive and go overboard. This seems weird to me, because, if it wasn't already obvious based on my replies, I also have collections of my own. However, I don't feel the need to constantly expand on what I have or spend exorbiant amounts of money to complete them because I'm content with what I have. There's even a tranny keyboard. I wonder how much this person spent on keycaps alone for that shit.
All of these are probably 100$+ keyboards if not more. I bought a 20$ mechy keyboard with cherry blue clones a few years ago and got some decent keycaps for it, and I haven't gotten another keyboard since. I've had practically no issues with the thing. How do any of these guys justify spending so much money on so many different keysets they'll never even use? It's completely a hoarder's mentality with an excuse that "at least they're practical items". Except how the hell do you even use this?

B-but Cherry Blue clones BAD if you don't shell out money for fancy-schmancy linear switches that you lubed yourself all the redditors and youtubers will think you're a loser!I bought a 20$ mechy keyboard with cherry blue clones a few years ago and got some decent keycaps for it, and I haven't gotten another keyboard since.
Heck, it could also be the start of your very own library. Like say, a collection of Star Wars comics, of books about certain topics like the Crusades, or books about political correctness. That would actually be of service to others if you opened up your own library in the future with that stuff. That's right. It can also be that you actually appreciate the activity or field of interest. Just liking it doesn't mean you must or feel the need to buy everything related to that topic. Everyone's collection is different. Everyone has their own standards and motives for collecting whatever it is they collect.
I have a collection of toys from different science fiction series. It doesn't mean I want to collect every Gundam and Transformer I find, but those that I do personally like, I snatch up. I'm not going to buy a Han Solo figure just because I'm a Star Wars nerd, but if I see a Stormtrooper or Mandalorian figure that looks cool, and I could afford it, I'd snatch it up.For example, I have a collection of old Mad Magazines. I don't go out of my way to buy Mad merchandise or memorabilia. I don't spend money to buy rare issues and so on. On top of that, I actually read them too because I like the old-school Mad Magazines. I could never imagine going broke because I must absolutely have a rare issue that's out of print. So that's where I'm coming from on my perspective on collecting.
Creating mental trainwrecks then profiting off them. There's even a tranny keyboard. I wonder how much this person spent on keycaps alone for that shit.
