As for Youth Liberation, these morons get the idea of children being allowed rights and autonomy to a ridiculous extreme. Children should be free to have their views heard and make their own decisions in certain situations, but this needs to be overshadowed by a parent or guardian who safeguards them and who can provide them with guidance and boundaries.
I don't understand why, if they care about the best interests of a child, it has to be so extreme. But of course, it isn't about the best interests of the child it is to pursue a sick sexual fantasies with innocent kids who are unable to consent.

Kids in general are really not that smart. You can convince them of all kinds of ridiculous things because they don't know anything and trust what they see as an authority, for a lot of whom that just means "person who is older than me." This is why I don't buy that some little kid knows they were born in the wrong body, or why children should be allowed to make important life altering decisions unilaterally. Moreover, during puberty, teens are shown to have the decision making skills of approximately a toddler because of all the craziness going on in their body and brain. Over all I think its a safe choice to say "young people are dumb and can't be trusted to cross the road safely without being told daily to look both ways" so we shouldn't trust them with really important choices like that being naked around a bunch of adults, driving a car, or their gender identity.

Minor power level but I went to a notoriously left-wing university that was infested with proto-woke hippies and their cohorts. And I think this level of suck goes back a long ways (at least prior to 1968 ) and I don't see any evidence that it has ended.
If you come off as a hippie and you say you're super into peace and love and veganism and astrology and yoga and weed and tie-dye and crystals and dolphins and all that other shit, you're probably NOT a predator. Jazz Jennings is like this and I see no evidence that she's a chomo.
However, some of the most terrible people I have ever met came off as super chill and mellow and all that shit and they blended into the scene perfectly but the way that they treated people was wretched.
Like the kind of person who will fuck your best friend and then act like you're the asshole for making a big deal out of it.
It's not an exact parallel, but the troon scene seems a lot like that. Most of them are probably not predators, but if you are a predator, it's easy to adopt the uniform and parrot the lingo and blend in until it's too late.

You're forgetting the other category - "We've been informed that the West has a thing called transsexuals, so we're doing that". So like Samoan Fa'afafine (which also includes gay guys that do drag and emerged as an identity in the mid 20th century) or Japanese X-Gender (which is just the word they invented in the 90s for "non binary"). It's literally being based off the West, but it's touted as a complete new and unique thing and "aren't foreign cultures so much more enlightened than us?"
Conveniently ignored is the fact that a lot of Western cultures had a third sex, because "the third sex" was often what gay people were called before the 1960s, and gay men, drag queens and trans women were all the same thing (or lesbians and trans men).
Of course we would judge that as backwards now, and the common talking point is trans women yelling "we're not just super gay guys or dudes in dresses doing drag, we're trans women and that's its own thing". It's only enlightened when foreigners do it I guess
