I feel like he refuses to use that excuse because he thinks his game is an immersive sim where everything is realistic. The only time he’s used that “it’s a video game” excuse was a gag in some video he made years ago where Midori asks why students are still going to school if there’s a serial killer there.
Alex’s whole game design philosophy is not actually real game design. He just adds a bunch of features he thinks are realistic, and then hopes it’ll balance itself out.

Investigators don’t DNA test willy-nilly. That shit is expensive and takes a lot of time to perform. Plus, DNA testing consumes evidence. Investigators don’t like using up that stuff since it’s literally all they have that ties the killer to the crime.
So when they do DNA test they make sure to test stuff that is very unlikely to have been effected by people not involved in the crime. They test places like under the fingernails in case the victim scratched their killer, or odd-looking blood drops in case they came from the killer instead of the victim. Or if the killer bit the victim they would swab those spots for DNA. They won’t send a whole entire shirt for testing because that’s sure to be covered in an incomprehensible mess of DNA fragments.

Didn't want to sperg out about this too much, but I will just add a little onto this.

Police would absolutely question anyone who was close to the victim, even if it was just her hanging out with a friend at school. They'd also ask questions, so if someone saw that whatsherface (Ayano? The game has been irrelevant for so long I've forgotten most of Alex's dumb ideas) was with the murder victim, the police would look into that, if for no other reason than she might be the last person to see her alive. They'd want to know how she was acting before the murder, if she mentioned anything weird going on or had been having issues with someone etc.

Someone mentioned the school was under 100 people, in which case, they might straight up question everyone. For sure, not everyone would be a suspect, but someone dying in a school, especially if it a possible murder, is not something people just shrug and ignore. Even if you did good and made it look like an accident, the school will want to perform a pretty thorough investigation, which would again involve speaking with students, because they absolutely do not want to be accountable with that.

Now, all that being said, for the sake of a video game? Yeah, you can handwave a fair amount of that away. People know what they're getting into and will suspend their disbelief. Like in GTA, where in the span of a few minutes, you can go from having the army after you to being perfectly fine because you got your car painted. And if Alex had said that, well, he probably would have said it in a stupid way, but to try and insist there wouldn't be any investigations because they'd just assume Yandere MC was hanging out with her friend that day is just dumb.

And, if you do really care, this is one of those details you'd notice right away when you're drafting up basic ideas. And Alex has insisted he's such a good writer and all about realism and what not, so it really stands out. It isn't even like this is a new thing, I feel like tons of people have pointed out this obvious flaw before.

People, this man claims, that he showed his game to a real Japanese teacher and he approved it, even though it is obviously not true. And you can't even imagine how many excuses for his game he has.

When he introduced fan murder, people said "but it will be clogged with meat and hair". His response? "I will just add another robot to the science club, that cleans ventilation".

When he introduced delinquents, people said "but this is perfect school, why it allows this shit". His response? "Well, it's been only a year since FIVE DELINQUENTS appeared, before that they weren't delinquents".

Who allows teacher that looks like a fucking stripper to work with minors? "Well, guidance counselor doesn't give a fuck anymore and she is nice too look at for me".

Why does this school has an occult club, where they weild knives and do all sorts of questionable stuff? "Eh, headmaster doesn't believe in demons, that's why he allows his students to do nothing and fuck around with weapons".

Why there are students that are literally wielding weapons around the school? "Well, they don't hurt anyone and the school is private, so why not?"

This is obviously one of Alex's goons covering his ass. Here is his proof of sisefs lying in a nutshell:

- "Ehm, she wrote I watched his "vidya revolution" streams and then edited it to "vidya". Yeah, that proves everything.

- She posted some screenscaps from Vidya Revolution and he says "yeah, she sent him nudes and then just laughed at him". Need I say, that this guy is a retard and it went like this - she sends nudes, they break up, VR starts some time later, she hangs out there. Those things weren't happening at the same time, dammit!

- "Eh, she couldn't forget something like this". This dumb nigger didn't even read her post. She didn't forget, she just had enough shit in her life and didn't think it was so bad or fucked her up that much.

- "Sisefs channel isn't affiliated with Vidya Revolution" - WHAT DOES IT PROVE, SHE WASN'T A STREAMER, SHE WAS JUST A REGULAR.
