He wants a very specific reputation. Its not good enough to just be associated to a successful game. Alex wants to be a new Scott Cawthon, a new Toby Fox. He wants to be seen as the primary creative and inventive lead of a major success. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if he was so reticent to actually bring on help because he wants to salvage that very image. If he steps aside now and lets a competent programmer fix the game, with competent artists (As good as the volunteers are, a bunch of random artists contributing random time does not make a great combination), they'd get all the credit and us detractors would not be shown our place.

Depends on what you mean by running with the money. If you mean that right after campaign he goes silent and never posts any updates or answers to backers questions, then I doubt he is gonna do it. His dream of Kickstarter is as old as YS simulator and it wasn't so much about the money as it was about the fact that his game is gonna raise a lot there. Securing money and going silent will mean, that it was never about that.

Otherwise, if by that you mean "getting some amount of money and never delivering/delivering something really subpar", then this is basically what's gonna happen. As we speculated before, 100k is not nearly enough to finance game development and he will be lucky to get even that. If he is ever gonna start a campaign of course.

I don't think Alex has moderation rights on this service, otherwise I guarantee he'd already be nuking entries to high hell. Medibang doesn't give a fuck about his trolls, its still engagement and traffic to their site.

About that. Moderation is certainly present, but my guess is that it is based purely on user reports. For example, I can't find entries with Alex's doll and that one trace, that r/Osana was talking about, but many-many other troll entries are still there and even thriving. If Alex and his goons were responsible for moderation, I am sure even "low quality works" would be banned right on the spot.

To be fair, Alex didn't betray Cleveland, he just was so dense, that it took him this long to realize that Alex is an asshole. He even tried to claim that Sisefs is lying, because she said Alex was 22 at the time, but AKSHALEE he rather was 21, which, of course, disproves everything and Sisefs is really YandereDataDigger.

I’m not sure if I can take another month of seeing the lovely community’s masterpieces, to be quite honest. I can only imagine how Alex is doing seeing these submissions roll in, because Lord knows he isn’t working on anything productive.

I feel like at some point he will snap and tell someone on that platform to do their job and clean all that mess. On the other hand, it still didn't happen and that sped is still spamming contest with his Naruto/Power Rangers recolors.

Some guy called Cows called her out for some of her videos being poor criticism of Alex, which resulted in her having a full blown meltdown in her discord server. He privated the video but this guy has the original version. In hindsight some of his criticisms are kind of dumb but the way DataDigger reacted to it was laughable.

Don't forget, that she originally was a diehard fan of YS under the nickname FairyTailFan666, but was banned for asking uncomfortable questions. As you can expect she acted spastic since day one, but on the other hand she was good at keeping track of Alex's shenanigans.
