Phil has called this guy a 'tax attorney' before so I wonder if he is also retaining him to do negotiations with the IRS for his back tax repayment plan. The filing itself should not cost more than a few hundred but the rest might be for legal services.The one time I needed to use a CPA for a very strange tax year, that was about how much I paid too. The idea that a tax guy is charging $1000 for someone at Phil's level is laughable, if only because there's a chance Phil actually is being taken for a hilarious ride by this guy.
Either that or we find ourselves in another Burnell Dilemma: is he just stupid (paying over $1k for tax filing) or lying?
