i'm awareUsually, mods close threads after 1000 pages, not 700.
I have to admit, the silence in this thread is deafening, not to mention that theres actual conversation and discussion taking place here.
Once again, a big thanks to @Zim and @Pocket_Sand! for all theyve been able to contribute to this wild ride so far.
But onto a couple of nagging questions ive had since i caught a glimpse of it being mentioned in the main topic. If what i saw was accurate, you said that the picture of your truck pre-dates the main thread by a fair bit of time. Thats mildly concerning, to say the least. Has he made any threats against you or your wife, past his sperging on the forums?
And more importantly, how serious was the discussion of people going to Ice House for breakfast or lunch after the hearing? Because if its going to happen, i'll see if i can get a gift card or certificate or something that you can pick up while there.
This interests me. All I know about driving a steam train comes from a half-remembered episode of Top Gear, so if you would be so kind: How hard is it to conduct a steam train/any train? Could Lenny have fucked it up? Is he really trying to use a thing that allegedly happened 25 years ago to prove he's instrumental to the Colebrookdale?
I know you said you avoided him at Colebrookdale, but do you have any stories to share, or was it more of a general "this guy's annoying and awkward" deal?
E: What's Lenny like when he gets mad? Does he chimp out or just silently fume?
@Pocket_Sand! how much different is he IRL as compared to his online persona? Is he as big of an asshole as he comes off as online?
Does Lennay try putting on a different voice when he makes these phone calls with his other personas, like with that recent call you mentioned?
I'd actually like to hear some of those and see if any of them sound like Kaufman if you got any way to record them and post them somewhere. He does, but there is someone else helping him because according to my wife the voices were all different, though I don't know who ti could be. He wont call me, he'll harass people who have no idea what's going on, or people he thinks are part of the Lenspiracy (my brother in law seems to be his current target),
Wait, wait, wait. So you left him at a street crossing to warn everyone that a train was coming through, didn't stop the thing you were driving to pick him up on the way back, and he got so mad that he had to walk that he threatened to report you to the train police? He raised his voice to me once. I was moving cars in the yard with our little yellow switcher up to the north end of the line to get them out of the way of some incoming freight. Lennay flagged the crossing for us (no signals, just a crossing sign) and I left him there to flag when we came back through. When we got back to the yard, Len yelled at me for leaving a crew member behind (road flaggers are not train crew unless specifically stated as such) and told me that he was going to have me written up for it. I told him in a calm, even tone that he wasn't a member of the train crew, and all we were doing was leaving two hoppers on the north end (about 200 yards from the crossing he flagged), we didn't need a bunch of people going a long. More people means more potential for someone getting hurt. He then yelled that I didn't have my license, and I shouldn't be running it anyway (I do have my hostlers card, and a light locomotive card) and that he was going to report me to the FRA. I told him if he ever raised his voice to me again, I'd break him in half, and shoved him off the locomotive.
Hey @Pocket_Sand!, has Shaner ever do something like threaten to kill or injure someone? Or even actually hurt someone?
I'd actually like to hear some of those and see if any of them sound like Kaufman if you got any way to record them and post them somewhere.

Also, there's a difference between an engineer and a conductor?![]()
My original title for the second thread was Leonard F. Shaner II: Shitposts on a Train Edition.
People in chat had other titles that I considered. I'm waiting until the thread gets up to 1000 pages for me to bring it back.
Yes and no, he's a know it all prick and he likes telling everyone around him how they're doing their job wrong (@Gook Choy could probably also elaborate on this).
Lennay is an internet bad ass, he'll yell and scream online about how he'll punch someone, and how he'll fuck them up, but he's really squishy in real life, and is, I think, aware that he wouldn't last long in a fight. He projects as much asshole as he thinks he can get away with, then when things get slightly heated, most of the time, he'll change the subject, or knuckle under and turn away. Then he'll talk shit behind your back, about everyone to everyone else. He really is the worst person I've ever encountered in my life, useless on all fronts, a welfare leach, huge unjustified ego, and major shit disturber online and IRL.
so, do we have any sort of consensus on what we're going to be naming the second thread, since it's closing in on 700 right now? also, how will we celebrate len's inevitable passing of holden, since obviously that is no small feat
This is just about as perfect as a summation you can get about Len as a person. He's incredibly one-dimensional and naive to an unbelievable degree. He's a fat idiot who is a danger to himself and others. I doubt jail will be any sort of "wake-up call" as his autistic deviancy has had 50-plus years to petrify his diabetic brain but there is a smug satisfaction in watching him be forced to take responsibility for his shit behavior, especially since he was essentially raised by feral dogs.
Len Shaner II: Revealations (mispelled on purpose)Len Shaner II: Judgement Day
He'll probably end up in some form of custody that would prevent him from fucking with people and keeping him from being killed ( by himself or others)Oh exactly this. He's never going to learn not to fuck with other people like he's doing right now, so he'll continue to do this until he's locked up for good or dies from his poor life decisions.
Almost a full month before the thread started.
So I've started to write a small part of the Wiki article and I'm currently at the education section, so I just want to take some time and go through some of these facts and what you all might possibly think about them.
Shaner's linkedin page says that he went to High School from 1982 to 1989, which would mean he spent 7 years in High School before POSSIBLY even graduating, but then it also says that from 1986-1989 that he went to a vocational high school (not a vocational college, a vocational high school) which is likely where he got his horticulture "degree" from.
Now I'd just like to discuss some of your opinions and possible theories that could explain these years in question.
Do you think I'm overthinking things and that this is just a classic case of Len being stupid and messing up the years, or do you think it's possible that those years are actually accurate? All things considered, I would find it hard to believe that even in special education that Len could pass high school in 4 years.
It wouldn't surprise me that if because he wasn't able to graduate in 4 years from 1982-1986 that his parents would enroll him into a technical school so he could at least enter the workforce. Or perhaps the two schools worked out a deal to allow course credit to transfer between the two.
Anyway, what do you all think?
