I've been paying attention to both Aqua and Ars APEX streams, and... How are you supposed to play this game?
I see Aqua running around and getting fucked, while Ars goes for the high ground and... still gets fucked, just in a much higher location.

I watch Aqua a lot now. Her APEX (I think you are referring to APEX) are actually really cool. Now, I enjoy the game somewhat, but she really does make it better. Not only is her movement and skill at professional tier (she isn't quite top yet, but she has the basic skills down), but her commentary is adorable. The fact she said she stopped using Wraith because she got fat was hilarious.

You mean Apex? It's about your skill, reflex and teamwork, maybe level too.
I only see Uto stream Apex and in her membership when she play Apex with Tenshimp and got champion at the last before ending stream, so take a add it's about luck too. I more like Uto stream cuz her randomness when she commenting with her broken english and says "each other".

I don't care really much about Apex and didn't bother to play it.

Don't die, kill everyone but your teammates. Nah, but for real, Apex is of course a competitive shooter and the mere nature of competitive games means there's a fuckhuge mountain of fine details players need to learn in order to perform well. Thing is, if a viewer doesn't know what those details are, following along will be difficult (unless you just don't like the game like some folks need to make clear every few pages). This guy showed up in my YouTube recs a while ago, he's been VOD reviewing Apex gameplay for various VTubers. And while I wouldn't wanna be that guy to recommend a borderline normie Apex youtuber/streamer to fellow weebs his reviews have honestly been a pretty good way to peek the game without having to sit through an entire stream and having to figure out how the game works for yourself.

No really, that is the apex experience. You pick a woke hero, get dropped from a ship into the massive map, check your equipment, rummage for ammo and weapon stashes, check your equipment again, run around like a tard then get shot by something (you never see anyone melee range unless someone messed up) "heal" by either injecting something on your wrist slowly or sticking your hand into a cylinder that looks like megaman's fucking arm. More incomprehensible superpower MOBA stuff happens, run around some more, fire your weapon at the air and then you get killed. Rinse and repeat.
10/10 game of the year folks, Indonesia's national pasttime.

I do admit I got a bit triggered seeing hobby diagnosis here of all places, even if it was probably bait, but figured the info would be relevant enough to the thread. Call it a work related injury from having to deal with these people way to often.

Anyway, back on topic, if anyone is learning the language or just wants a nice chill stream I can't recommend Arurans English streams enough (he is on now). He blows most other JPs out of the water in interacting with the foreign audience without it seeming like pure pandering, and chat is slow enough that he can actually have some nice back and forth.

It's also pretty hard to drop into a popular FPS with an already established meta. You may fare better learning the game if you have a team of your own friends and learn at your own pace instead of having to tard-wrangle the randoms you're grouped with.

He makes his English streams easy to find since he uses the same thumbnail, with the occasional English only game stream a la Korone.
