Pokémon (Not-So) Griefing Thread - Scarlet and Violet Released with 10 Million Copies in First 3 Days in Buggy States

In Gen VIII Blissey is for the first time since Gen IV(aka before Eviolite was created) is often the better option over Chansey. From what I can gather it is mostly because, due to the lack of unmovable hold items like Mega Stones and Z-Crystals in Sword and Shield, and the prevalence of many new items who make-or-break many Pokemon's ability to function at all, like Heavy Duty Boots, made Knock Off show up everywhere, to the point that more often than not Chansey would lose its defensive edge over Blissey, meaning it's just better to use Blissey in most teams.
I hear you, but one of the Pokemon you mentioned is from first gen and the other one is a trash boat.

First gen always wins.

Or a regional form. Granted, it wouldn't be the original Ledian, but it's still something
They could base a regional Ledian off of the scymninae subfamily and give us our first bug/dark type.

Not according to gen 8.
Or in TCG for that matter.

My cards can put a kid through college but they can't beat a basic form printed last year. *sigh*

I saw a Dark Raichu deck that I want to try though. It looked like it might be competitive against newer decks what with blowing up your opponent's bench and all that. The newer cards are nuts though. They have more health and do more damage with less energy required. Can't compete with that.

It's ridiculous. If someone thinks the power creep in the mainline games is bad (It really is) just show them the TCG game. The strongest cards in the first few sets can't hold a candle to some 1 energy attack basics nowadays.

Regional form is the more likely of all the options since GF threw Mega's into the trash and I don't see them giving what is essentially to the wider public, a random unknown pokemon, an evolution.

You say that, but look at linoone and Mr. Mime.

It is likely that he could get both a regional form and an evolution for the next generation.

There is always the chance that Ledyba gets a regional form that evolves into something other than Ledian(similar to Galarian Meowth/Yamask), though.

True, although what the direction for that evolution would be could be interesting.

First step is what would be the most likely candidate for the next mainline generation to be based on?
We've had:
Gen 1 - 4: Japan
Gen 5: New York/Eastern US
Gen 6: France
Gen 7: Hawaii
Gen 8: United Kingdom

My best guesses would be Canada, Mainland EU (Can't decide between Germany, Italy, or Spain), and a wild card of Russia.

As a dingo myself, I've always been hopeful for an Aus-themed region. But that doesn't mean one's coming any time soon.

My feeling is they'll expand on the open world and do something that works best over a wide, open area. So things like a Western (as in the movie genre) - themed region wouldn't be off the charts.

Western Us could work. Image giving us regional version of Cacnea line, or even a brand new cactus pokemon. We can never have too many cactus pokemon.

I think Mexico or an overall arid/desert theme could work well.

Technically we have one in Orre from Pokemon Collesseum.

Only group of people more racist than Italians are Japanese. Probably won't happen. If they're going outside Japan, I think the smart money would be on either a Spanish analogue or Latin American analogue (only based on the resorts, of course).
