It's time to try and necro this thread! Got some good content. Since we last had content from them, they appear to have continued to decline in volume and participation. There is a certain sameness to the posts. Namely, mostly people who have subscribed to poly lifestyles and now have hit the wall that seems to come with the territory. I don't really have a problem with people being polyamorous in theory as opposed to polygamy, which I think is inherently fucked. Whatever floats your boat. However, I do think there is a certain Venn overlap between poly types and narcissism, and I generally find its practitioners repellent? For such a "wonderful" lifestyle, it sure seems to cause a lot of problems for those who get involved.
Meet Millie.
Millie is having problems with her polycule. Note how heavily filtered her picture is and I think we may be getting closer to the heart of the problem.
So she's a) fat and not hot b) doesn't like to put out and may be ace c) and her hubby is boning someone and treating her better. Yeah, you're "getting the vibe that he wants her, not me", because he wants her, not you, honey. Skipping the comments as they were mostly boring and not that stupid. Mostly "talk to him, not the group", which is decent advice.
Next up, Michael Flack. It is time to "tell the kids". Ugggh... the fucking cringe. Oh, and Michael, unlike most Poly members, is totally MAGA! He sticks to poly stuff, though, and doesnt' seem to sperg about other hot takes. Restoring America's Families and Traditional Values by fucking around. The biggest thing I've noticed in the current Polyamory is that the threads don't immediately devolve into grammar/pronoun banwars like they did under Kylie's cruel reign.
Nicki seems like a fucking trainwreck.
Advice to Des: Yes, your man moving on to create a new family will likely result in you being cast off.
