I was curious and referred to good ol' Google to see how much it costs to keep an alpaca farm running.

Needless to say, 100k looks fucking paltry when you're raising 200 alpacas annually. Did they even give the animals shots or any kind of health checks? And they're just letting these poor creatures just breed unchecked. I'm going to see a lot of dead alpacas in the future, aren't I?

Of course they're not. They could go to a feed store and buy most of the vaccines to administer themselves but they probably don't do that either. The worst part is that as I recall alpacas are pretty low maintenance compared to other large livestock and providing at least the minimum of care wouldn't bankrupt them if they bothered to do it. I don't think they even have a rabies vaccine for llamas/alpacas, which cuts down cost a lot since a veterinarian has to administer rabies vaccines. I'm sure they don't deworm them either. Or have them all tagged so that they can keep records on each animal. It doesn't look like they even have smaller holding pens to herd them into in order to catch them and provide any sort of medical care.

It's really dumb not to practice basic animal husbandry, especially when they could do so easily. For comparison, when my vet comes out to do spring vaccines, check up, Coggins testing, and teeth floating it will run me about $6000 for 14 horses. Because alpacas are much lower maintenance than horses or cattle, they could probably have a vet out to do vaccines, deworming, and health/pregnancy checks on their entire herd for considerably less than that. Well, they could if they had any way to pen them up and sort/separate them.

It tends to vary a bit but at a minimum it should have a tourniquet, a belly bandage, a few pressure bandages or Israeli bandages, shears to cut off clothes or cut up gauze, gauze, sterile pads, NPA and lube, a pill pack to try to keep you from dying from the guaranteed infection that comes with getting shot/burned/blown up, sometimes a doodad for sucking chest wounds...

Older ones sometimes have Quick Clot but due to the Soldaten putting it in the wrong places and burning organs and shit you usually don't see it anymore. Thermal blanket for shock I think is pretty standard too...

I'm probably forgetting some stuff.

I think it stands for Individual First Aid Kit.
A forced breathing mask sounds like a good idea. I would guess that newer ones will start having that type of thing.

No morphine issued in the standard kits -- generally only medics/corpsmen can push drugs.

The idea of the IFAK is for people to use your supplies on you and vice-versa until the grown-up medical people get there or you can be evacuated. That way you don't end up bandaging someone up with your own kit, they get evacuated with their kit intact and then you turn around and get shot leaving you with nothing to bandage yourself with.
