Idk if any of you have ever watched the cod pro league, but after watching that level of competition I can't sit through more than a few minutes of PR's cod game play. It is unbelievable that someone just chucked $85 on this. It is terrible content

You honestly would have to go back to when he first started to find these people. Back when it was just him and a few others doing gameplay videos, him sucking at games was part of his charm, his ego still wasn't super massive (it was big, but not to what it became), and before everyone realized what a toxic asshole this dude was. Otherwise, they're an extinct species

Machinima probably had a big part to play as well, for however long he was partnered with them. I don't think it was that long. Machinima used to be "the" gaming channel. It was mostly FPS gameplay videos from what I remember so Phil's content probably did well with a certain niche audience at the time. Point is, people moved on, Phil is incapable. Still probably dreaming about the stupid wolverine statue.

You don't even have to get that extreme. Watch any CoD vids from some of the main CoD youtubers 11 years ago and it'll make you not want to watch him. It's one thing to get enjoyment out of a good player with a big mouth getting dunked on, it's another to get enjoyment out of a terrible player who's a terrible person with a big mouth getting dunked on. We root against the good players because it's nice to watch someone eat humble pie every once in a while, Dave on the other hand gets humble pie shoved in his face daily but still insists he didn't deserve it, he did everything correct.

I think you're intentionally oversimplifying this scenario, but I'll go ahead & bite.

Even DSP is aware enough to at least attempt to do something fucked up to his defectors in such a way that it wouldn't necessarily blow back on him. And if it did, he'd just deny it.

And given most of the horrorscapes that have been uncovered about 96% of his dickriders who have been doxed, I'd rather not think about whatever these people might have to hide.

And then there's the obvious factor of how most people would probably prefer not to have their personal identifiers scattered to the wind. Even the kind of people who would do things like tithe $ and live ammunition to a rancid internet wino... ???

I read something I hadn't known before but might be common knowledge here: did Phil really fake a friendship with a black guy to defend himself from people calling him racist? AND apparently the same guy fucking died and he tried to capitalize on that too then scrubbed everything once he got called out for being a liar? And here I thought I knew everything.
