True but not necessarily relevant. CPR massively extends the possibility of survival from a drug overdose or cardiac event. Floyd was in an automatic CPR device the whole way to the hospital, where he continued to be worked on until it was clear it was hopeless and he was called. Interestingly, with drugs and intervention like this, cardiac events are very survivable. You know what's not? Drug overdoses, especially when there is no immediate diagnosis indicating naltrexone/Narcan.

Depends on what you mean by eventually, if Chauvin is acquitted during the initial trial? If you’re talking sentencing, that’s not usually up to a jury. They say guilty or not guilty on each charge, and the judge decides the penalty for the charges the defendant is found guilty on.
