Well, here's the thing.

We'll see how this plays out in court. I promise you, as retarded as you are- it will be brought up that they could have switched to a different hold position, their police department will support that admission, and that will get him the manslaughter charge. Wait and see.

That Chauvin should have taken his knee off of Floyd's neck once Floyd's breathing was getting significantly more shallow, and that's where the witnesses will come in, including the other cops testimony potentially. This doesn't rely on the procedure itself being criminal or wrong, but just that he continued with the procedure for too long when he should have switched to another one, thus engaging in unreasonable risk that could have contributed to Floyd's death.

I get that you don't think anything of Chauvin's behavior was wrong in the slightest and probably have some ideological blinders on, but even if it wasn't murder- and I don't think it should be considered that, it does seem like he did fuck up in keeping his knee on Floyd's neck for longer than most people would consider wise.

Even in terms of self-preservation, freezing in that position with cameras on him is not the best look.
