Im certain she is going to get a little reminder on how to behave (or rather another one after the Judge tried that already), but what we saw seems to be her stress response that requires a certain amount of self-control to change in any meaningful way. Dry theory in a positive environment is one thing, actual application of that theory when the exact "big 'ol meanie" that shes used to blocking instantly on twitter cannot be removed with a tap of your finger is another.Obviously not directly relevant because he's very dead, but I'd recommend anything I've ever watched by Vincent Bugliosi for info on courtroom strategies. Successfully prosecuted 105/106 cases, including Charles Manson, and made a goddamn 7 hour documentary going blow-by-blow on how the OJ Simpson prosecutors failed [pt1] [pt2].
Have to disagree with this. The dispatcher was a very credible witness by virtue of answering questions openly and factually, even if what she witnessed was limited. By contrast, fatty was clearly defensive and cagey, and the defense has barely even begun to impeach. I'm sure prosecution will have a word with her, but will she be able to muzzle her snarl? X
So i would not be surprised if we get episode 2 of "this middle aged woman behaves like a 16 year old that just got grounded by her mom." eye-rolling included,
as soon as the defense starts to apply pressure again. That lawyer seems to be able to tell she ain't no hardboiled egg and is most likely going to double down on the pressure.
After all, they would somehow need to drill into her that:
A) You have to respect both of these ebil vile old white men as an authority and respect them.
B) You have to be honest, even if its uncomfortable and you would rather lie.
And both of that during severe stress. I just dont see it happening.
This is also why its just so laughable that she said she stays cool under pressure when working.
This woman cannot handle stress at all, presumably because of the same lack of self-control that also saw her obtain her "Heroic-life-saver" bodytype.
Also, while im at it, i think my freudian-pseudoscience has led me to understand why shes wearing the uniform as well. (that seems inappropriate to wear off-duty).
Gives her some desperately needed confidence so she wont melt in the first 20 seconds after the questions start.
The only question left in my mind is why anybody thought bringing her into this would be a good idea. I would assume that picking more stoic witnesses is preferable because they make for harder targets to crack for the opposition. After all, the witness going into the panicked "uuuhhh i really dont want to be here omg!" mindset seems like a worst case to me. At that point they will fall for even basic semantic tricks your average lawyer can throw around.
Not to mention that even the crocodile tears loose their magic when they come from an unlikeable hag with the attitude of a teenager.
