Mixing fentanyl into everything has been going on for years: https://archives.drugabuse.gov/emerging-trends/fake-prescription-drugs-laced-fentanyl. Fake pills are all manufactured cheaply in China and shipped directly into the States. It's why fentanyl is the problem right now, because people get hooked on prescribed opioids and turn to the cheap stuff when they can't get more.

It's actually hard not to put on my tinfoil hat with the opioid stuff, which I was following long before I knew how fucking evil China was. It would not be out of line to consider it another form of bio warfare. Of course, there are plenty of people making a buck along the way, but Chinese businesses have to lie up and down and say they don't make that stuff when they do.
