but it is Officer Chauvin they are meant to be prosecuting, isn't it, not Mr Floyd?
I see how it seems that way but I think the prosecution is trying to get around the toxicology report by establishing that Floyd was such a serious drug user that his blood toxicology, while more than enough to kill you or me stone fucking dead, wasnt shit to him so the cause of death had to be something else.

Juries are shit, they just happen to be the best method we have so far.
I was kind of surprised they didn't request a bench trial. No way I would ever let 12 random tards off the street decide my fate.

ETA: also can someone link me to the post with him dancing and that fallout 3 song dubbed in? I can't find it anymore.

Edit 2: never mind I found it

If it were only the fentanyl that might be believable but he had more than a lethal dose of fentanyl alone and a bunch of norfentanyl and meth on top of that.

Defense still hasn't gotten to their witnesses. This is all stuff they are pulling from the prosecution. When it comes to their turn I expect things to pick up again.
When you consider how it gone so far, the entertainment is only just beginning.

As an aside, I brought up the trial with a liberal, fairly normie friend. When I asked "what is he guilty of?" he went off on a tangent about how its stone cold murder, and that its racist narrative to say its anything but that. So the defence still has to argue past the bullshit of optics. Then again, I don't think he seen (nor would he care about) the bodycam footage.

Hey! This the best inclusive, anti-racist, anti-fascist, ACAB, Islamic, Anti-American, neolib legal team money and virtue signalling can acquire.

I almost feel bad for his mother; imagine thinking your son was begging to see you one last time but it turns out he just wanted his tranny-looking white bitch instead. I wonder if they can sue the state somehow over this and get even more ghetto lottery money?
Statistically speaking the poor woman - or rather, her closest relatives and friends - is almost certain to squander such large amounts of money in very short order.

There's probably a positive correlation between "people who still believe the media bullshit" and "people who only have seen the media curated version of events"

What an amazing coincidence.

What are you talking about nobody is railroading anyone. I think some of you are brainwashed.
Bro, I think you need to catch up a bit on what's going on, even this Britfag seems to know more than you do.
Are you just going off the very accurate news reports that don't exaggerate anything at all to get more views?
This thread is gold! As a fascinated Britfag, it seems the prosecution has so far established:

- by the testimony of one of their later witnesses, that MMA bloodchoke guy and EMT Karen may have contributed to the unfortunate outcome as their actions required Officer Chauvin to focus on their potential as a threat rather than offer aid to Mr Floyd.

- that one of their witnesses may have been a drug dealer who not only provided Mr Floyd with the drugs that contributed to his demise, but also withheld that important information at the time of the incident, when such information could have been of help.

- That Mr Floyd's white girlfriend may have been the 'momma' he was crying out for as she had previously aided him after a previous OD. Thus casting doubt on one of the key emotive takes that 'he died crying for his mother '.

- That a man with a third grade education was giving out sensible advice to Mr Floyd on how to behave and to remain calm.

- That the only person who has thought their actions contributed to the unfortunate outcome was the poor kid behind the counter at the bodega.

- That one of their expert witnesses was not, in fact, qualified to give an expert opinion in the matter he was called to the stand for.

Now, I admit I'm not the brightest of bulbs (and a Britfag, to boot), but it is Officer Chauvin they are meant to be prosecuting, isn't it, not Mr Floyd?
They just keep offering reasons why reasonable doubt exists to think Chauvin did anything other than maybe failing to offer aid fast enough.

George of the Concrete Jungle's Mommy RP Junkie GF confirmed the passenger was the drug dealer who was handing out the fentanyl laced pressed pills.

He doesn't want to go to jail for admitting that he not only sold GF the drugs, but ALSO swapped the 20's GF had right before he paid.

So the passenger provided drugs AND the counterfeit money.

He doesn't want everyone to realize that HE'S the one who caused the Summer of Love and the Great Chimpout, not Chauvin.

Can they try him based on the video evidence anyways?

There have been several times when I've seen a big news item like the GF incident, agreed that its totally wack and mental, only to switch opinion when more salient facts come out and get to see what happened for myself. Normies can't be bothered/don't care enough to actually watch a video, they want bullet point summaries and a tl;dr on what to think. It's why tabloids are popular and easy to digest news sources.

That's the thing, the simple fact that one would want to dig into something, approach a media story with objectivity, is a clear sign of one's conspiracy theorist and thus white supremacist tendencies.

Nothing matters about the Derek Chauvin trial: he killed Floyd because he's a white supremacist with bloodlust, because systemic racism is the biggest problem with the U.S.A. That's it. Period, end of chapter, end of conclusion, end of thesis.

god trying to mention the most likely cause of death feels like talking to bots

response 1) GF isnt the one on trial.
response 2) The coroners report says homicide, google it
response 3) him being high doesn't justify the police MURDERING him (ignoring the main point of it being a lethal dose)

Just kind of annoying when even bringing up the possibility of him being not guilty of murder to some people gets them so insanely defensive about it

Can you please show me where the official report says that?

Looks like you got duped by the prosecution into believing a separate autopsy report was the official one. Given this mistake, please make sure you are not further retarded.

I was expecting this level of floundering from the prosecution given that MN's governor had the state's attorney General take over the prosectuion. He has a history of being in black supremicist groups.

There never was going to be justice, it's becoming more and more apparent this really is just a political show trial.
Honestly, if he didnt die due to the od, and some people have mentioned this some other nog probably would have offed him. At least now they know the how and why he died, irregardless of how they accept the truth. The latter would have been some faceless nog.

Yesterday’s testimony was very repetitive, due mainly to the prosecution wanting to hammer home that Floyd was non responsive, basically dead when they arrived, and Chauvin was still in position. The female prosecutor is new and this is probably the biggest trial of her career so you understand the nerves but fuck is she slow and repetitive. The paramedic looked like he was going to fall asleep on the stand then when it came time for cross literally came out with ‘are you just repeating everything she’s just said?’

The firefighters testimony was especially damning for the defence. He was so concerned about the female firefighter who witnessed the killing that he sent a colleague back to check on her. Said she was ‘justifiably distressed’ as she had just seen ‘someone killed in police custody’ choice of words very important here.

Defence bat back and forth trying to plant doubt with questions to the police seargent who testified to the protocol and policy concerning use of force. He testified Chauvin did not contact him immediately to report the use of force against Floyd, infact it was the seargent who called Chauvin after being contacted by the 911 dispatcher who was concerned by what she’d seen on her screen. Defence came back with ‘has there been instances in the past where you were contacted not immediately but hours later?’ Replies ‘yes’, (I doubt those ‘instances’ resulted in death) He also testified that Floyd should have only been in the prone position until he was handcuffed, the knee should have been removed once he was under control. Defence came back with ‘if there’s a threat and medical emergency which do you sort out first? Seargant replied ‘both, somewhat simultaneously’ meaning atleast 1 officer should have been attempting to render aid to Floyd whilst the others were getting him under control. - A moot point IMO because Floyd was unresponsive and no longer a threat long before EMTs arrived.

Paramedic testified that Floyd ‘appeared deceased’ when he arrived at the scene and ‘still deceased’ on arrival at hospital. Also testified he initially believed there was still a struggle when he arrived as the officers were on top of Floyd, became apparent he was pretty much dead yet they were still on top of him. Also ‘any layman can perform CPR, there was no reason why MPD could not have began CPR and lifesaving efforts before EMTs arrived. They are all trained for these situations.

Floyd’s girlfriend CR testified to his drug addiction and also gave insight into his life. She believes he had been taking a stimulant as she had taken a pill that ‘kept her awake all night’, prosecutor confirmed that neither of them died from that. Very emotional testimony when she revealed her name is saved as ‘Mama’ in his phone. Defence pretty much brought into question whether that means Floyd was calling for her when he cried ‘Mama, I love you’ as he was dying. However on redirect Prosecution had her verify that he also called his own mother ‘Mama’. Also, Floyd’s ‘friends’ who were in the car with him that day who supplied the drugs and counterfeit money are pleading the fifth, I wonder why...
