1. It was much easier to get pregnant, the obvious one.
2. A woman's reputation was much, much more important than today.
3. Raising someone else's children, barring very specific circumstances, made a man a laughing stock, and once again - honor mattered.
4. Communities were, barring some exceptions, much smaller and more tight-knit, so sexual promiscuity was more difficult due to simple logistics. Very few women like to be known as "the town whore".
5. Due to a lack of DNA testing men were much more paranoid about raising children born out of adultery, so marrying a virgin was crucial.

I'm not even going to go into discussions about whether societies past simply had better morals, at least in certain parts of life. So yes, my observant friend, casual sex is a relatively recent invention.

I do apply that logic to young men, and sex is more complicated than voting for a myriad of reasons. I honestly don't think teens should be voting unsupervised, either, though. We only barely let guys do it and that's because they have the draft, and young women got the free in because egalitarianism is cool. Some people are young enough or not well informed enough to understand that and take it as hyperbole, but that's literally what happened. Politics has (unsurprisingly) become increasingly juvenile over time.

While I have no concrete evidence (based on not existing at the times), I do know human nature, and I can virtually guarantee that those are all not good enough reasons for our ancestors to not have casual sex.

You actually contradict yourself by admitting there was a lack of DNA testing, so there would have been no way to know whether or not your son's ginger hair just 'skipped a generation'.
