Do you mind running down the particulars of the OJ case? That case was such a shit show I wouldn’t know what you meant if I looked into it.

Watch the 30 for 30: O.J. - Made in America documentary from ESPN. There's a full episode on the LA race riots beforehand that explains how the case became so politicized and then goes into the minutiae of how the trial itself was a clown show. I also think The People v. O.J. Simpson was a very good dramatization of it. The defense lawyers were able to make the case about the reliability of police testimony and slowly made it impossible for the jury to trust them. The prosecution also walked into several self-detonated bombs, mostly by not vetting Fuhrman or insisting O.J. try on the glove in front of the jury without being assured it would fit after being stiff with blood and O.J. knowing how to hold his hand in such a way that it would look too small. The prosecution just found themselves on the defensive and kept trying to get the momentum back, which led to more errors that made them seem desperate.

The n*gger tape that sunk Fuhrman was discovered almost by fluke. The defense found it midway through the trial and there was a huge fight about how much could be admitted -- Fuhrman was even on tape criticizing BY NAME the JUDGE'S WIFE, years before. It was madness. But O.J.'s lawyers were all good showmen who just knew how to play everything they had to its maximum effect.
