Breonna got what she fucking deserved.
I'm actually sad we didn't get a proper court case for that one. It would have been as much of a shitshow as the Floyd trial, what with the cops knocking and the boyfriend opening fire on LEOs first. Oh, and the dead body they previously found in Breonna's rental car trunk.

Then again, most people just swallow the bullshit that CNN feeds them anyways. Does the truth really matter when your average person's takeaway is "HE WAS JUST BUYING SKITTLES"? Our society is postmodernism on steroids.

While we're being autists about this, can someone explain what an inability to sneed, suck, fuck, or feed has to do with george floyd? Is it all just an ongoing reference to that photo of Floyd's Feed & Seed or is there more to this meme?
You see, to understand the image, we need to get into some memetic history. The yellow character depicted is known as "Sneed" on the website 4chan. 4chan has various forum boards for different topics. Some users of their television board, /tv/, were unhappy that so many threads kept discussing the Simpsons show. In order to derail those threads and dissuade the creation of further Simpsons threads, some users began posting images of a store called "Sneed's Feed and Seed", discussing this image over and over again to stop any quality conversation on the threads. Eventually, posting an image of Sneed began to spread to other boards on 4chan as a sort of trolling, because many users did not understand the origin of the image or the meaning of "Sneed". As with many high level memes, this one is a combination of a few previous memes. The Sneed background remains, and Sneed's head has been superimposed on top of another meme, this one depicting a naked character from the popular series Dragon Ball Z doing a deep squat. The color of the DBZ's character's skin has been changed to yellow to match the Simpsons aesthetic. With the events surrounding George Floyd, the politics board of 4chan combined Sneed posting and the naked DBZ meme to create a meta joke, indicating that George Floyd had his breathing restricted by the buttocks of the Sneed character, alluding to the fact that George Floyd repeatedly said "I can't breathe" during his incident with the police on May 25, 2020. The meme depicted is commonly referred to on the site as "I Can't Sneed", and it serves to combine 4chan culture and meta memes with the disrespect of Floyd. BTW I'm trans.

This is so beyond reasonable doubt it's hilarious. This is a MURDER TRIAL not a "Chauvin did a policy oppsie" trial. Dumbfucks wasting everyone's time because they know they have nothing.
If the DA was smart, they would have realised that this is basically an un-prosecutable murder case. There’s no motive, the cause of death isn’t due to direct action by another person, and it’s hard to argue ‘malice aforethought’.
But they felt that they had to charge Chauvin with something, because optics.
However once the coroner’s report was released this should not have been prosecuted. That way the inevitable riots would have happened only on Trump’s watch. Now there’s going to be a second round of riots no matter what happens.
Personally, I’m stocking up on popcorn because it’s going to be reeeeeally interesting to see how Senile Joe and Kamala the Koon ‘Karcerator react.

exactly, they're trying to eliminate a basis for manslaughter defense BUT NOT PROVING AN INTENT TO MURDER OR MALICE

Interesting. Do you think that maybe the name of the store alludes to a dirty joke? I don't mean to speak out of line but I suspect that if you apply to the rhyming scheme of "sneed's feed and seed" to a different name, such as "chuck", you could get some really rude results.

Breonna got what she fucking deserved.
I wouldn't say deserved. It was a pretty sad event. I would say, though, that it was certainly a likely product of her bad judgment, and that choosing a degenerate drug dealer as a mate can lead to lead poisoning. If she had made better choices, she would still be alive.

They don't need those, they need a reckless disregard for the probable outcome of his actions.
They have to prove that death was the outcome any reasonable person could have predicted before the action took place.
Difficult because the state supreme court said that hold could be used for 15 minutes, and despite the fact cops cuff a suspect and lay them on the ground all the time deaths are rare.
Also, laying down on the ground was at Floyd's request because a claimed claustrophobia was causing him to freak the fuck out in the car, letting him lay on the ground waiting for EMT's was a compromise to deescalate the situation.

I subscribe to the theory that, having been fired from her job months prior, she was using her apartment as a stash and was in fact intimately involved with the whole operation. No reason to get shot of course, but like those massage parlor murders people secretly care a lot about that sort of context even if they don't wanna admit it and the media underatands that very deeply.

Same could be said for Charleena Lyles. She tried to kill a cop and now I have to look at an awful caricature of her ugly ass every day on my way to work because reality is for fascists.

First, it didn't have her name, but when nobody knew who the fuck she was (BLM included), they went back and added it. I guess they couldn't find a better picture of her so they tried to make her less retarded while somehow making her look more like a cave-woman. The building it is tagged on is an out of business porno store/jerk off booth that got shut down for facilitating prostitution. It's also been defaced multiple times but the city must have an artist on retainer because it gets cleaned up within 24 hours of being vandalized. If the city protected anything as much as they protect this fucking mural, Seattle wouldn't be such a shithole.

Did the Judge have the off-air hearing about this image? Is that why the jurors looked confused and shocked? Will this image be the next Pepe after some vaguely connected issue with a juror leads to a mis-trial? Will I have to see this on the TV screen in public and fight the urge to explain to some redneck what the fuck he's looking at?

Because I won't.

Excerpts from Andrew F. Branca's Legal Insurection blog post.
Further, officers are not only permitted but required to use force not only to protect themselves and the public, but to protect the in-custody suspect, even from himself. To the extent the officers believed Floyd was suffering from excited delirium–and we know they were, because they are heard discussing this concern on their body camera footage–the standard protocol is to completely restrain the suspect’s entire body to prevent the over-exertion believed to kill in cases of excited delirium.
Further, it is well recognized that overdose victims who regain consciousness often immediately respond with violence when they rouse, and thus steps to prevent this would be reasonable. This is all the more the case when the suspect is being restrained on the street in one of the busiest intersections of the city, with moving traffic mere feet away.

All of these are factors that could make Chauvin’s knee on neck restraint of Floyd entirely justified under the totality of the circumstances, and thus not the basis for criminal sanction even if it did contribute to Floyd’s death.
Further, the question of delay in care is impossible to assess without taking into consideration all of the surrounding circumstances, including the officers’ awareness that they’d already made a code 3, emergency, lights & sirens, medical call, as well as the growing angry mob threatening imminent physical violence, to the point that Officer Thau was physically restraining the mob, that both Thau and Chauvin were reaching for their OC canisters, and now we’ve even heard testimony from the store clerk that he himself was obliged to physically restrain others in the mob.
Even in the state’s opening statement by Prosecutor Blackwell...a complete lack of any consideration of how the state intended to overcome Chauvin’s likely defenses–that is, that his conduct towards Floyd, first, wasn’t the cause of his death given the overdose and other facts, and second, even if a cause of death was nevertheless justified under the circumstances.
