It's not even "black identity", it's some imagined, non-existent form of it, mixed in with alien conspiracies, a-historical ramblings, and outright fantasies, sprinkled on top with a healthy dose of 1920s racism (which is where the segregationist overtones come from). Keep in mind that some of them believed that WAKANDA was a real place.
That's one element although it's not all of it, not all BLM types believe in the more supernatural or Wakanda type shit, but there is certainly that element and it's growing and becoming more and more mainstream.
What's creepy is it's exactly like the Nazis and their beliefs about Aryans being descended from Atlantis or something like that, this is a mindset that ultimately led to the holocaust and it's growing and growing here in the United States.
Because make no mistake, there are BLM types already who's hatred of white people is already strong enough that they would try to holocaust white people if they could actually hold the power to do so.
People are playing with fire and they have no idea what the fuck they're doing if they think it's ok to tolerate and encourage black supremacy and that it's fundamentally any different than white supremacy.
And I say that for black America's own sake too because the likeliest scenario is not a holocaust against whites but black supremacy ultimately leading to a resurgence of white supremacy and the only ones getting holocausted will be blacks themselves.
Like I said, people are playing with fire and have no idea what the fuck they're doing, what forces they're unleashing.
Not exactly. I've mentioned it in a different post, but a large portion of the movement were indeed members of various queer cults and sects, the most prominent being the Nation of Islam, which is basically Muslim Scientology.
You are correct, but ultimately they're not the ones responsible for the victories of the 1960s Civil Rights movement, more moderate types like Martin Luther King are.
These days though the table haves turned and it's the radicals ala Nation of Islam who are calling the shots and not any moderates.
Hopefully this makes sense, its very hard to articulate this
I think the issue is that modern culture (starting around the mid 2000s when the media started aggressively turning against the evangelicals) is very anti religion, and it has made it seem very uncool to be religious. I don't think that everybody needs religion, I personally do not believe in anything, but that is a decision I made myself a long time ago. I do think some portion of people absolutely need some form of religion. I don't even mean from an emotional standpoint, I mean their brain literally needs to believe in something, like its genetically programmed to gravitate towards that kind of thought. No matter what environment you put them in they will end up seeking out (or creating) something that resembles a religion/cult. For this reason I think that its an issue for society to reject religion, because these people will always find something to fill that void. The modern day left has now ended up filling that void with this retarded identity politics shit.
Specifically I think the issue is that we raised a bunch of people in a culture that told them religion was lame and gay, but they were not capable of existing without religion, so went and found something else. I believe that this is now indistinguishable from any other religion, they believe in certain truths and will conform their world view and interpretation of reality to fit these truths. You can never disprove to them that blacks are mistreated just like you can never disprove to a hardcore christian that the world is a few thousand years old. Any evidence you present will just result in them finding some interpretation of the evidence that allows them to still believe that blacks are mistreated, not because they are being disingenuous, but because the know it to be true.
Its the one thing that makes sense of all of this to me, it explains how they can hold all of these incompatible beliefs simultaneously. It also explains all of the white guilt bullshit.
You are exactly hitting the nail on the head.
The truth that has been revealed and it is a terrifying, Earth shattering truth is this, Religion is hard wired into the human psyche, you literally can't have a large group of human beings operate as a group without some sort of Religion (whether it involves anything supernatural or not) being the glue that binds them together.
The atheist push in the mid 00s may go down as one of the greatest mistakes in human history, Christianity was at least tried and true and while fundamentalists were an issue, the "new atheist" movement took things way, way too far, the hardcore blasphemy I saw people engage in back then turned my stomach, as much I wax nostalgic about the 2000s today I fucking hated the new atheist movement and I hate it even more now, those people helped fuck this country up and are a big reason why we're in the state we're in now.
I'm not saying everyone needs to be a Christian but Christian values are what the USA were founded on and everyone should have a healthy level of respect for them, not try to literally wipe the Religion out because what you get is what we got now, the things to replace it are way worse, we've gone out of the proverbial frying pan and into the possibly literal fire.
Look, I'm a Christian myself but I work on my faith being genuine, I struggle with doubt, it's a process and it's a challenge, but I understand perfectly that Christianity is a superior belief system to "Woke" whether it's literally true or not.
I do fear though that's what going on here is that humanity is almost at it's end, we've hit an evolutionary dead end with the fact that Religious thinking is hard wired into how our brains work and that's incompatible with the age of "science and reason"
I fear that what's happening is everyone is fracturing into a series of cults and the bad blood between these cults is going to grow and grow until it bursts out into more and more violence and ultimately we are going to flat out kill ourselves and go the way of the dinosaurs.
You have no idea how much I wish the times we live in weren't this serious and bleak, I get called a doomer a lot but all I'm doing is looking at the world around me and drawing logical conclusions and the prognosis is bad, I wish it wasn't this way but I'm not in control of the world.
What I put my faith in is that ultimately God is going to reveal Himself and save us, that's either what happens or humanity goes extinct, I can no longer believe that "science and reason" is going to save us because look around at the world today and tell me human beings are fucking reasonable, rational creatures, because we simply aren't.
EDIT: on further reflection even I'm going to admit I could be wrong and my take might be too cynical, things might be ok, but people do need to get back in touch with traditional spirituality and Religion and stop substituting it with politics.
