Floyd chewed down multiple pills shortly before dying, which could cause him to overdose but wouldn't show up in a fentanyl/norfentanyl ratio because your body stops the metabolizing process once you're fucking dead.

Drug/metabolite ratio is a really indirect and silly and imprecise way to measure amount of drug in a person's body.
if that was the case theyd have a report on the stomache contents.

Can anyone explain to me the ratio they are using on the graphs is? Because according to the autopsy report the drug screen was:

Blood drug and novel psychoactive substances screens:
1.Fentanyl 11 ng/mL
2.Norfentanyl 5.6 ng/mL
3.4-ANPP 0.65 ng/mL
4.Methamphetamine 19 ng/mL
5.11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 1.2 ng/mL; Delta-9 Carboxy THC 42 ng/mL; Delta-9 THC 2.9 ng/mL
6.Cotinine positive
7.Caffeine positive

When is the truth going to come out that Floyd was actually killed from drinking too much Monster Energy?

this dude (and a fair few others in the megathread) are so emotionally invested in the prosecution that Nelson just smiling triggers them. poor sneeds
"I hope the defense loses"

I know I've said it before but it never ceases to amaze me how insane these people are. This isn't a fucking football game, this is a actual court case and the results need to be impartial and just. God I fucking hate these people.

Despite things like Hurricane Katrina, racial tensions seemed a lot more minimal
Katrina was a watershed event that resulted in the creation of a diaspora of criminal Nawlins picaninnies and their relocation to literally hundreds of peaceful, low-crime white towns all over the country. Nigs being nigs, they continued to nog, which massively increased racial tensions across the affected areas.
Think of all the unfortunate rural whiteys that weren‘t racist because they never had to deal with niggers. Then imagine two or three bus loads of hooting subhuman filth being forcibly resettled into their towns, bringing with them a wave of rape, assault, murder, drugs and saggy pants.
Katrina created a lot of ‘racists’ because it exposed a lot of people to niggers, and these people had previously only experienced black people who understood the value of being part of a harmonious community.

The ratio is the ratio of fentanyl to norfentanyl. Your body converts fentanyl to norfentanyl so its a measure of how much your body has managed to process. It would make sense your ratio would start high (all fentanyl, no metabolites) and get lower with time (fentanyl reduces, norfentanyl increases) until its out of your system.

Found the argument they're going for. The ratio is used in toxicology to differentiate between full on druggies and someone "giving it a go".

It's another "he was such a hopped up junkie he was tolerant" argument.

I'm pretty in the tank for acquital, but being honest, this was the first witness that actually may have been good for the prosecution. The guy seems like a pay for play shithead who is tailoring the facts to suit the needs of the prosecution, but I think to most people or jurors what he said could stick.
He’s easy to refute. You just point out that for a scientist brought in to answer in absolutes he doesn’t seem certain about anything. Every question is answered with ‘yes but’, ‘it might’, ‘possibly not’ etc.
How can you say with 100% certainty that Floyd was murdered when every question you answer to defend that position is wishy-washy equivocating bullshit?
Please notice my post, Nelson-senpai.

I think the least possible but the most fun outcome would be crooked jury jailing Chauvin for the second degree murder and cops going on a strike as protest or something like that. This way virtually everyone would be fucked AND butthurt AND wrong but that's one hell of a reach.
The best outcome is six more months of riots. That shit was fun. I don't think we'll get that if Chauvin is convicted.

The more you interact with people these days, doesn't really matter what the venue is, the more you realize they're fucking imbeciles who neither understand how the system is supposed to work, want to learn how it is supposed to work, or would appreciate a functional system in the first place. There is no appreciation for impartiality, for fact-finding, for laying appropriate amounts of blame or lack thereof, none of that registers with these people. It's all a zero-sum, win-or-lose, feels-over-reals game of televised drunken strip poker. Rules aren't fun and don't make them feel good, so fuck rules. Cold, impartial facts don't tuck them in at night and kiss their forehead, so facts suck and now we're going to call the things that make us feel good facts fuck you. Everything needs to titillate, to please, to entertain and to stroke their egos.

Call me a prude or whatever but I don't particularly want to see it all burn. I'm well out of range if any potential chimp outs and shitposting while the world burns can be entertaining but this shit is ruining lives of lots of people who don't deserve that shit. There are many normies just wanting a quiet life, there are fellow kiwis who can't leave their urban hell holes for one reason or another and I don't want them to lose their possessions or even lives because some media shithead decided they wanted to fuel a chimp out.

Huge pet peeve of mine IRL is people that are proud of their ignorance, be it technology, history or even traffic law. With everyone having phones these days, it's really not that hard to educate yourself on simple topics, but no, that would require effort.

the question isnt simply if he killed him, as i see it there's three parts to it
>did he intentionally kill him (probably no)
>did he unintentionally cause his death during the arrest, or did the arrest at the very least contribute to his death (probably yes)
>is this excusable because arresting floyd was his duty as an officer of the law (possibly)
I think the whole "breathing through the knuckles" argument is the strongest evidence so far that Chauvin should have known to let up.

Can someone explain the "breathing through his knuckles" thing? I missed that testimony and out of context it sounds like total bullshit.
They're referring to Floyd using his knuckles to get leverage for breath. If you rewatch Keung's bodycam video it's pretty easy to spot if you're looking for it. He pushes his knuckles into the pavement, then into the cruiser's tire. He also uses his elbow to push against the cruiser's fender. Two witnesses asserted that this is a sign of desperation and breath hunger. (Although Dr. Potato admitted that it's not something a normal person would notice.)

EDIT:

All the normies on the jury have seen it now, even if they didn't notice it before. I could see the defense arguing that Chauvin could reasonably have interpreted this as an attempt to free himself from the restraint, though. We'll see!

This is why I think Today was such a good day for the prosecution.
Before today I think there were starting to fail to even properly allege a good manslaughter case, after today they have a much better manslaughter case.

There is another question, which was Chauvin's actions so awful to be the depraved heart murder stuff ect ect but thats unlikely too

I admit I should care but I lost the actual ability to care years ago. Now I just want fire and burning and getting to watch it. Yes, this makes me a bad person. I'll have to live with that, I suppose.
