MCU Television and Animation Series on Disney + - WandaVision, FATWS, Loki, etc

For what it's worth, it still trends on Twitter every week and I've seen the usual amount of reaction videos making the rounds. Wandavision just had more talking points is all.

You mean those channels that are likely paid by disney to do those videos?

Yeah that means I should just give in and start supporting Disney I guess.

I'm going to say that honestly from Falcon and Winter Soldier, Zemo and Walker are the two standouts of the show with me honestly wishing they just did a show with those two as it could really take on a proper espionage and a really gritty revenge story. If it is like Wandavision though, its ending will stumble the show and start to show a trend with these shows not being able to break from the "MCU formula"

I feel like F&WS has less to unpack than Wandavision so its finale will probably land better overall. You're right though that if it doesn't it's going to start a trend and while people may've given WV a pass for its mid-ish finale they won't be as kind two times in a row.

There have been rumblings that they're setting up a Thunderbolts thing to some extent, I'm assuming they'll keep both around for that. If true, it would also likely incorporate the mean FBI man from WandaVision and his insistence they need a set of Avengers they have more control over instead of just hoping they're on the same team all the time.

FatWS reportedly was Disney+'s most watched premiere and there's at least one thread dedicated to the show everywhere I look. That the show is fairly straightforward and doesn't lend itself to wild theorizing like WandaVision I think makes the audience for it seem muted.

Ever since the first Avengers move came out every year there's talk of the MCU dying out due to disinterest and fatigue. Nearly a decade later it's still around and it'll probably here for another ten years in some form.

It's basically a sub-genre of action film at this point in time. If comic lines can exist for superheroes I don't see any reason why a film variant shouldn't.

I guess the real test will be how well the new slate of post-pandemic movies does after Black Widow (she doesn’t count because she’s a legacy character).

I’m honestly kind of surprised that they actually seem to have put some heart into these Disney+ series. I was fully expecting these to be lazy filler content but I gotta give them credit where it’s due.

Even if the forthcoming announced films don't do all that great, the upcoming inclusion of the X-Men and Fantastic Four will undoubtedly inject enthusiasm into the next phase.

Can't really explain it but I haven't really been feeling Falcon and the Winter Soldier all that much. I was more hyped for it than Wandavision but so far I prefer that over this. Every time I watch it, I kinda zone out and browse the internet on the side. I know I'm not missing much because I truly blank out at the combat, which tends to get really same-y after a while, to the point where all that truly matters is the outcome.

I dunno, unless it's anything with Spider-Man, the warehouse scene from BvS, or the airport sequence from Civil War, superhero fight scenes rarely ever compel me anymore.

While the story for FatWS has honestly been mostly a snoozefest, Zemo's nice to see again. And honestly, after the end of the most recent episode, it's kind of renewed my interest.

I feel like out of all the announced shows, everyone knew what they were getting with this one. WandaVision and Loki seem like wild cards, She-Hulk could be a number of different things, Moon Knight will probbaly be more formulaic and Ms Marvel will almost certainly be more like a traditional Disney "teenager sitcom". But TFaTWS seemed to me like the most obvious "It'll be a movie but in show format" so there's less to be intrigued about, if you've seen Winter Solider and Civil War, you're seeing a slightly newer version of those.

Mhm. It does feel more like an MCU movie but repurposed as a TV show. Maybe some day I'll go back and rewatch all the episodes at once, paying full attention to it, and maybe then I'll like it.

When will we get a stunning and brave (tm) Mcu TV show where they use their mystical, stark tech enhanced tranny stinkditch dilator to oppress the cishet villainy of American Wypipo males who refuse to suck the tranny girlcock?

I really do hope that after US Agent gets his black costume(?), he beats the ever-loving snot out of the Dora Milaje.

Probably wishful thinking at it's finest, but such a turn of events would not, I suspect, fall outside the realm of possibility, since many people would read this as a heinous and villainous act by Walker whatever the circumstances.

Don't think it's at dying point yet. But it's pretty easy to see it start losing the strength it once had, the reaction Wandavision shows the need to start avoiding the marvel formula where they can and to try new stuff, the people watching Marvel shit are up to for it.
But more important is looking at the Marvel movie and tv shows coming up, and asking will people care about all the new characters, from what they have shown of The Eternals I get flashbacks to shit like Jupiter Ascending and could easily see it flopping like that.
The actor for the new Cap has been getting death threats, how the hell are people going to react to Ironheart and Armor Wars setting her up as the next Iron Man, or any other replacements they will be setting up for the Young Avengers movie/tv show they clearly want.

MCU has flopped before, never forget the inhumans, I doubt movies like Doctor Strange 2, Thor 4, Captain Marvel 2 or Black Panther 2 or the follows up those get will flop, but others could see start to underperform and maybe a few losing money.

They really do like projecting everything they hate on Walker

I find it funny how the retort that people have to shitting on FatWS is "It gets so many viewers/videos on youtube made about it", as if that's somehow a bar of quality.

By that logic Batwoman is amazing.
