There was a lot of protesting in the wake of Trayvon Martin's death as well. It wasn't a full year, but it's not like it was quiet. I don't remember personally if it involved full-on riots, but either way, in this case all of the jurors were asked about potential fear for their safety and all said that they could put it aside for the sake of a fair trial and their fears were mostly assuaged by the promise of anonymity until some date after the trial. I think "public reactions" really won't have as huge an effect on the jury's decision at this time as many people are speculating.
On the other hand, the media are becoming more vicious by the year, and it's become clear at this point they are more than willing to "accidentally" leak personal information about the jury as soon as any gets into their hands.

That's why I want Chauvin acquitted. If he's convicted, the Summer of Love is rewarded, and the Left will henceforth riot whenever they want something.
I think he should be convicted and then given the most lenient sentence possible under the soft on crime restorative justice guidelines BLM wants. Have him apologize to Floyd's family and do community service or something, justice is supposed to be about rehabilitation and not retribution right?

I mean, that, and because he's not guilty.
No that's gay, don't hope for a just outcome because it's just and you want the truth, root for whatever outcome is politically expedient/funny to you regardless of long-term consequences. Oh, and then post online about how we live in a clown world

If they do that, they're gonna face some heavy backlash from the court. Cahill has already talked about media sanctions in the case of misconduct (like when reporters were trying to take photos of the papers on the lawyers' desks in jury selection), and if they're violating a court order of anonymity for the jurors they could be facing worse than just that.

I don't believe that any reporter would want to face prison time and losing their journalism career just to violate a court order that will be lifted in 6 months to a year.

I think once this dog and pony show is over the verdict is going to be predictable. I know that's been said. However since officer chauvin has already been convicted in the court of public opinion the jury will follow suit
Seriously for the love of God fix your system font

despite having no good proof or evidence for this aside from "yeah everyone is a mindless ZOGbot who can never think for themselves and won't put any thought into this trial because they're so brainwashed and are all mindless nigger cattle (except me)"
When you keep your expectations of other people at rock bottom, they never disappoint you.

Why are people surprised by this? Female police officers acting overly aggressive, and either accidentally or mindlessly shooting someone, is a common enough occurrence within the United States one would think this has already become something of an expectation.
Say what you will about black culture, but it does possess kernels of truth:

Bitches be crazy.

Things have changed greatly and people are deeply invested in believing the narrative. After being told for over a year that George Floyd was a a hapless negro crush to death by the knee of a white officer. It's hard for people to change thier mind

Yeah, have him write an apology letter then kill Floyd's brother 4 months later while stealing his bicycle.

I've been spending a lot of time this weekend listening back to jury selection and the jurors picked here didn't have that opinion. All potential jurors who would have held that belief that Chauvin was guilty from the video were either dismissed for cause (bias) or stricken by the defense. Just about all of the jurors chosen said they had either seen the video or clips and had a slightly negative perception of Chauvin, but also that they needed to see the facts presented to them in court to come to a conclusion as to whether or not he was guilty.

One day this whole ordeal will be mentioned in an Adam Curtis documentary.

"While in a Minnesotan courthouse, the defense attorney's cross-examination was exposing more and more weaknesses of what had been widely publicized as a slam dunk case, the establishment media was appealing to the general public's empathy, by publishing articles worldwide evidencing the devastating emotional impact Floyd's death had had on those close to him. It was as if a bifocal lens had been placed in front of the Derek Chauvin trial, and while both planes of vision remained accessible to all at all times, each individual could not, or would not dare look at both.

Meanwhile, in Eastern Tajikistan..."

Gimme my fucking rainbows but if I was on the jury, I would vote to acquit just because the prosecution thinks we're stupid.

216/160. :story:
Not just that, but this is what we learned overall from the prosecution:
  • Smoking is good for you
  • Clogged Arteries = Healthy Heart
  • GF wasn't resisting
Between them and Reddit, it's like they live in opposite world and us "outsiders" just don't get it.

Such is the logical conclusion of relativism. Once you have "my truth", "your truth", "his/her/xir truth", instead of a singular, objective Truth you get this "2 movies 1 screen" lunacy.

Add to that the fact this case is being described as "historical" within the American media. Is that truly the case, or just further propaganda, my friends?
