why did the defense rest? was it not advantageous for them to call in their other witnesses given that it would be cumulative?

i really hope the jury is seeing this clusterfuck right now and has become increasingly uncomfortable with the prosecution and their tactics
If it's cumulative, then it's objectionable, so it would not be advantageous to them.

Keep in mind that the forbidden evidence stuff was all conducted outside of the hearing of the jury so they wouldn't really be privy to the clusterfuck angle of this

Lmao this is going to be a working break for him.
what a horrible, horrible, horrible thought

at this point I don't care who wins, monkey mob and pig are both retards, I'm /breakpilled/ and rooting for cahill to have as much nice, relaxing rest as he needs (wants)

If the prosecution does manage to secure a conviction at this point I think the entire lot of them should go buy some lottery tickets. Something about God watching out for fools and drunk
It's more of a test on the Jury and outside influence now. If there was no threat of riots or jury intimidation, this guy would walk. It's going to be interesting to see if these people find their balls or not.

If pros still manages a guilty verdict I'd think it's the god of the old testament, not the new, that would be responsible

can the judge overrule the jury's verdict?
Yes, but the State can appeal it.

If the prosecution does manage to secure a conviction at this point I think
They need to call for the appellate team. The grounds for appeal so far could make a new Pangea.

And if any of the jurors were to be injured or, and this would be peak comedy, be arrested during the weekend riots well....

can the judge overrule the jury's verdict?
Yes on a guilty verdict but usually it's highly unlikely. Cahill has been pretty neutral this whole time despite prosecution pissing him off regularly even way back in pre-trial, so I don't really think something like that would happen here one way or the other.
