Why even bring him up if the man's opinion doesn't have any weight? Oh right, there's woke points to gain. God I hate far Leftists. They always ruin it for the rest of us.

"he LUCKILY started a friendship with a leader"
I love Kat Blaque's videos, but I think she's not nearly assertive enough for Lily. She's a "speaking my truth" kind of person, but she doesn't bully people into agreeing with her. She also defended leftist content creators having sponsorships.I'm surprised not to see Kat Blaque on that list, since she's a Black Trans Woman and has talked about Breadtube before on her channel. Kat has videos talking about being into polyamory and other sexual topics too so, I'd assumed that Liliana'd have an interest on her content.
All the other people on that list, with I think only the exception of T1J, would never use the label breadtube for themselves. At most just a reviewer o someone who does video essays about media. Does Liliana think just because they said on one way or another "racism is bad" that makes them immediately breadtube, even if they never talk about leftist policies or anything relevant to the left as a movement? That's so intensively braindead that I'm surprised with myself because I didn't see it coming from her.
"he LUCKILY started a friendship with a leader"
Listen to Davis's presentation. He didn't 'luckily' find a leader, he specifically sought out a high-ranking KKK leader. He knew he was putting himself in danger. If that's the same talk I saw there was a moment in the conversation where the two of them almost killed each other because an ice bucket melted and the sodas inside clinked together. Ultimately he wound up dissolving that entire state chapter of the KKK.
(Unless the Anon meant that he was lucky to have formed that friendship, in which case, that's not how friendships work; Davis talked to the man and found common ground with him and used that as an in to gradually de-program him and convince him he was wrong. That's a huge thing about that particular story; the guy had been PROGRAMMED all his life. But Davis reaching out and forming a friendship with him gradually allowed that programming to be disabled, and ultimately he left the association.)
And that was just one man.
Imagine the difference in the world if more people were like Davis and just sat down and talked to their 'enemies'. Maybe people could realize that they aren't actually enemies. Maybe enemies could realize that they don't have to be.
Or you can just enact random violence against people you think are evil, probably. Sure. That's never been terrible.
These people would be dead in minutes if they tried anything against actual neo nazis. Lily can't even leave ratings on her videos lmao
I'm of the opinion that Lily is very physically frail. Without proper vitamins her estrogen is only serving to enhance that weakness. All this chest beating can not be back up. Period. I'd love to see the day where lily throws a punch or an object and it's calmly batted away. The look on her tall foreheaded face would be priceless! Take a Muay Thai classThese people would be dead in minutes if they tried anything against actual neo nazis. Lily can't even leave ratings on her videos lmao
Evidence that runs contrary to Lily's consensus on violence is gaslighting. That's nice.
I'm gonna be a faggot again but one of the best things about SU is how it's written in a way that you could apply several allegories to any given thing. So with Steven and Rose you have: growing up without a parent, growing up without a mother because she died in childbirth, growing up in the shadow of an accomplished parent, having to accept you're never going to have all the answers about a dead relative etc.Lily really just doesn't get the show.
And I'm not saying that a fan of Steven Universe (I've seen some episodes and I appreciate what it's going for, but it never really grabbed me). Like... she just literally doesn't understand it. I remember watching her Garbage video and she finally gets to talking about the reveal about Rose Quartz and she legitimately just thought that Rose had always been presented as perfect and pure.
As somebody who, again, only saw a handful of episodes... it is blatantly obvious that Rose was never supposed to be viewed as 'perfect' by the time the twist is revealed. She's viewed as perfect by the other gems, and Steven puts her on a pedestal, but as we learn more about her as a person is becomes increasingly clear that Rose was deeply flawed and the others have an appropriately tinted and biased view of her. The other gems can't accept that Rose was actually a pretty shitty person who spent her whole life trying to overcome her worse nature and never quite managing to do so, but Steven becomes his own person and starts questioning his own assumptions and what he's been told by the Crystal Gems. When it's revealed that Rose Quartz is actually a shapeshifting Pink Diamond, her shitty behavior fully clicks and you realize that well, of course she acted like an entitled brat-- she was. Of course she viewed humans as cute as inferior-- she was a diamond, she was geologically formed to be the apex of her own race, which were already considered more advanced than humans.
It was being built up throughout the entire show that the Crystal Gems had a skewed perspective of Rose. The whole show was a slow deconstruction of her as a flawless hero. I got that figured out just by watching "We Need to Talk". Lily watched the whole damn show up until that point and couldn't get it in her head that just because the Good Characters repeatedly said she was a great person it didn't automatically make it true.
I think I've said this before, but I think Lily hates metaphors and analogies not just because they're 'damaging', but because she can't actually follow them, herself. She has little capacity for connecting information and analogues outside of what's stated on a page, which in turn loops back to her writing style of explaining things at the reader and making sure that all the good characters are always good and right (even if they're sad about it) while all the bad characters are basically just Hitler. She can't process indirect information and nuance. She can't ken the fact that a character on the side of good was a fundamentally flawed person. And I mean legitimately flawed-- soft bigotry, rampant entitlement, violently silencing opposition -- not the "Anevay cares TOO MUCH you guys!" flaws that she likes to give her characters.
Lily is just, fundamentally, a bad critic.
Hey at least we're talking about shit we know about, nothing wrong with that. Just have to balance it with knowing when not to sperg (very hard in my case).I'm gonna be a faggot again but one of the best things about SU is how it's written in a way that you could apply several allegories to any given thing. So with Steven and Rose you have: growing up without a parent, growing up without a mother because she died in childbirth, growing up in the shadow of an accomplished parent, having to accept you're never going to have all the answers about a dead relative etc.
Steven, like the audience, can only know Rose through the perspective of other people and it's left up to both him and us to decide how to feel about her actions. Of course Jerry hates this kind of writing and always wants everything spelled out for him. He still thinks Rose having been Pink Diamond wasn't set up from the beginning (even though it's the only thing that could make any sense given her powers and inconsistencies in her behavior) and the plot should have just been Rose murdered Pink only because that's what the show initially stated. You know, because that's what everyone (except Pearl, who couldn't talk about it) believed happened.
Also I agree "We Need To Talk" is a great episode that could be watched on its own with no context and you'll understand something is up with Rose.
Lily's social justice shit is performative, she doesn't give a toss about these people. They're just statistics to her to use as a gotcha."But with how many disabled LGBTA+ non-white HUMAN BEINGS are being murdered BY THE DAY"
Oh? Got some numbers on that or are you spewing bullshit while under the delusion that you're living in 1930s Germany?
I swear the way the deranged fuckers talk you'd think we had full on troon concentration camps decorated with nigger lynching trees on every other block and that our national sport is now cripple kicking.
Fucks sake, there were 19,000 people murdered in my country last year. Only 44 of them were trannies. 0.2% of all murders. Trannies make up 0.6% of the population. They're murdered statistically less than the general population.
But bring up verifiable facts to one of these fuckers and their tiny subhuman brains just shut down.

Lmfao
as has been mentioned countless times on this thread. she only cares for the minorities who play into her pre-existing narrative she likes to spew herself.Lily's social justice shit is performative, she doesn't give a toss about these people. They're just statistics to her to use as a gotcha.
MLK's adviser was Bayard Rustin who was openly gay.Lmfao
"King didn't preach moral purity"
"Yeah I know he was anti-LGBT, he was a Baptist minister!"
Honestly I don't even think King said anything major or notable about LGBT rights in the first place, but given that he was a devout baptist Christian, I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to assume that his view on it may have been a tad unsavory. Given his views (and my experience with Christianity) I think it's possible King may have spoken to Rustin to get him to "reject his sinful ways" or something. That's mostly conjecture though. King did hold him in high regard, even holding a committee to discuss whether it would be dangerous for Rustin to work with him (as being a black gay man in the 50's and 60's fighting for equality was incredibly dangerous), but beyond that, I don't know anything about their relationship or King's actual views on LGBT rights. There's a book talking about people using King's words for and against LGBT rights. If his devout beliefs were anything to go by, the likeliest scenario is that he may have rejected the sin, but not the 'sinners'.MLK's adviser was Bayard Rustin who was openly gay.
Learn your fucking history Jerry.
"Hate the sin, love the sinner" and so on.Honestly I don't even think King said anything major or notable about LGBT rights in the first place, but given that he was a devout baptist Christian, I don't think it's entirely unreasonable to assume that his view on it may have been a tad unsavory. Of course if King was anything like Jerry makes him out to be, Rustin's name wouldn't be anywhere close to King's in history.
Lily's adoration of MovieBob is so funny to me. This is a (wo)manchild who spends a good portion of her time ranting and raving about how cartoon dictators in a baby's cartoon can spread ACTUAL fascism to impressionable children (ignore the fact they're godlike figures who created their servants and their practice is closer to communism than it is Nazism, logic isn't important here) then goes and throws her weight behind Bob "Actually eugenics for the lower class is good" Chipman. What a bizarre individual.
