Commemorative artwork is important for high profile cases such as this.

Yes. If it's a mistrial due to prosecutorial misconduct, Chauvin can't be charged again.

Would like to amend that the Federal Attorney would then get a bite at the apple because of course they fucking would. Funny how when it is on different levels, Double Jeopardy can be avoided.

Murder isnt a federal crime.

Unless you murder an employee of the federal government or as part of some RICO or terrorism shit

Some bullshit civil rights charges are a possibility. But an acquittal in state court would be a big ass mountain to climb in federal court. A mistrial where the state gives up would be better. A conviction would be best for the DOJ if they want to buttfuck Chauvin more

it wasn't just barricades, they lined her street with officers and patrol cars. So much so that the high crime areas of chicago had 1 or 2 vehicles and 4 or 5 officers on duty for the whole district. It funny and sad to see second city cop post the midnightroster and see half of the team gone to protect the mayor.
Bitch raised the fucking drawbridges. You can separate a lot of the lakefront/downtown of Chicago from the rest of the city by pulling up the bridges, so the looting was contained to the, ya know, little people areas. The little people who weren't Latin Kings, that is, because those fuckers were not having it.

if a jury explicitly rules not guilty on murder, then that's it. it could maybe go to appeals, but it cant just be brought again in a new trial.
No appeals - that's the end of the road if they explicitly acquit.

The only exception to that is if the defendant was never in jeopardy in the first place (i.e. bribed the jury).

That's usually true, however, given the fact that a police reform bill recently went through Congress, they would need a test case or two to test out it's legal effectiveness. Enter Chauvin stage right.

Both sides of the case will give us quality content when it's done
If innocent twitter and BLM will go berserk.
If guilty /Pol/ and the "Alt-right" will go berserk.

it's going to be hilarious
I don't think the whiteys are gonna riot. There'll be niggere celevrating that law is abolished by burning down Minneapolis again
